The problem is that it's already July - half way in the 2008 season.

Jenson had a title winning car a couple of years ago, & he used it to win a single race.

If Schumacher, Alonso or Raikkonen had been given that same car they would have being in contention for the championship.
Honda's problem has been backing the wrong drivers, & all the time they've been stubbornly behind Button / Sato / Davidson, they've also missed out on Kubica, Vettel, Rosberg, & a host of other up & coming young drivers.
Blame the talent scouts for missing great drivers & wasting money on good ones.

Does Button have any real championship-winning talent?? Given the right car?
I just wonder because even without a great car under them, the best always make their car perform right at the edge. I just don't see that with Button.

Isn't it about time for Honda to access what they might be doing wrong in Formula 1
they seem to do quite well in other races and road cars. maybe they need to just scrap everything and start from scratch, so they don't do well next year but at least they can have a great car in 2010 or the year after. they have the money to build the best car they need to just take a deep breath and begin anew imo.

I always had my doubts about 'pretty boy' Button...whether he was in F1 for all the right reasons. From the moment he fought tooth and nail to get out of (and actually paid his way out of) his contract with Frank Williams, I knew what kind of a 'driver' he was. He didn't realise just how pathetic he looked for doing that. It should all have happened behind closed doors, but there you go.

He'd also pulled a fast one, coming to BAR after Jacques had done all the work with the team from scratch. I'd felt sorry for him when Flavio dumped him from Renault for Alonso, but now I know why. He's got an unofficial title of being 'the smoothest driver in F1'...and he's obviously happy with that. lol

Just look at Massa. Where was he until Ferrari rescued him in 2006? Without the car, you are going nowhere in F1.

No doubts, it's a joke! Well, maybe in the 2019 season :-)

Hopefully Jens, you will be gone by then.

Your job is too cushty and you are the 4th highest paid driver on the grid...shame on you. You have delivered nothing worth writing home about. YOu agent is good thou managed tosleep with the right people to keep you onteh job. Kubics is almost 7 times cheaper than you but 7 times better than you in his sleep.
Hope Honda wakes up soon.

The plain fact is that the Honda is just not competative,Jenson,s team mate could win races and be on the podium with the Ferrari but can do no better than Jenson with this car.
Trad.
