Alonso, Renault back British GP chances.

Double F1 world champion Fernando Alonso is looking to finish the job he started in qualifying at Magny-Cours with a stronger race showing for Renault at this weekend's British Grand Prix.

3 people agree.  4 people disagree.

Hopefully he will get pole snd then win the race but being realistic 2nd or 3rd row and hopefully a podium Go Alonso !!!!

Alonso must use a standard 2 stop strat, and start on soft tyres, with a shortish first stint. Will allow him to be fairly well up on the grid, and run a good solid race. Go Alonso, carry the car again !!!!!

being realistic is good and alonso is dragging a dog around the track but i reckon between the 3rd and 5th row is about all he can hope for the bmw's will be a lot faster i think than the renault

Ha Ha Alonslow who. He will be running mid pack at best. Then he will get out and blame the Renault team again. The last thing we want is him at Ferrari next year destabilising moron.

jefemano you pr1ck I don't give 2 hoots about Mclaren. I am talking about destabilising Renault before he left. Don't shout at me you child. Do you feel big hiding behind a keyboard. Why is this site all about Lewis there are 19 other drivers on the grid and people in this place don't like him because he is almost good enough for Ferrari. You Alonslow lovers should take your heads out you a55 and see the real him. Destabilise Renault then Mclaren then use Renault as a stepping stone. I hope he moves to another team next year and I hope Renault get there act together and beat him. Next year any team can win, it will be an open form book.

massa 2008 wc, Hold fire my friend, I did not intend to offend any body, least of all get you to wound up to react in such a manner, for your info, if you will recall, F.A. was forced to leave Renaul F1 team before his second title (in 2005) because Renualt's CEO anounced that they wanted to leave their F1 team from compeating in 2009 /2010, that was well publicised in the media. ( please refer) so I cannot understand how you can say that F.A. destabilised Renault by leaving, what would you had done?, I still believe your comments made earlier are based on certain Mclaren PR and their influenced media manipulations of events during 2007.

Jefemano Alonslow left because he decided to drive for Mclaren as it was something he wanted to do. Renault never said they were leaving F1 but only suggesting that they might not want to make the commitment for years to come. When I first started reading on this site a week ago I thought some people might have been racist against Lewis but after reading bad remarks about Lewis, Jenson, Coultard, Sir Jackie and even silverstone, I tend to find it is people being racist to us brits. I can't understand why so many non brits come and comment on a British site.

Aloso got his car on the second row of the grid because hamilton was knocked back to tenth. He might be a two times winner of the Ferrari FIA cup awarded by sexy ferrari mosley and his bimbos but hes still got to prove himself to all the rest of us.

Barry are you saying that Alonso did not deserve his two titles? Was it Alonso's fault that Kimi's Mclaren or Schu's Ferrari were not reliable enough to win the championships? What does he need to do to prove himself to you, win in a Force India?

Mike D are seriously going to try and pull the race card? Everyone gets slagged here. You should have seen the slagging Mark Weber got here a few months ago from the Brits. And if you are coming from Champcar watch out!
