Haslam: That's a relief!

Only Mr Haslem could call being gifted a win in a shortened race after shakey hit oil from the kwaker "getting a monkey off your back"!Look in the mirror when you get home "It's still there" I cannot think of another rider who would make such a statement,You did'nt "WIN" leon you were "Gifted" Quality!

I don't agree really. I'm a big Shakey fan, but he made a mistake and crashed. Leon didn't. So he won fair and square. Sure it's better and more satisfying when you win when no one in front of you falls off, but credit where it's due, he won the race. I doubt Shakey would disagree with that either.

Evo,I am not A "shakey fan" I was in fact hopping Sykesy was going to do another double,Yes Haslem did win all legal Etc Ect,But to make the statement "I finally got the monkey of my back" under those conditions is a joke!! Yes if the race had run it's course and he had won the battle with shakey "The monkey would be off" but 6-8 laps short and Shakey on the floor (if you were a real shakey fan you would know he did not make a mistake but hit oil from the Qwacker)And make "that" statement Again he is a joke,

Haslam caught Byrne up over a few laps and was running faster lap times, so there's nothing to suggest Haslam wouldn't have won anyway.

Mike, i think you are getting too serious about the 'monkey off my back' statement. All he's saying is he's finally won a race his season. Wether you think it was deserved or not is beside the point. He's happy he finally got a win. Why go on and on about it? I'm a fan of bike racing full stop, and can appreciate how hard it is to win, wether it's over 6 laps or 20, whoever is the winner. Anyway, take it easy.

I thought they rolled the race back 1 lap if red flag was shown?

Hi Bob. They didn't do that because Byrne was deemed to have caused the red flag by crashing whilst in the lead and so that's why he wasn't still given the win by rolling back to the previous lap.

Maybe your right evo,I guess as you say if Haslam is happy with it what the heck.As you quite rightly say he finally got a win,and if my memory serves me right it's been a while and he is being beaten by his team mate for yet another season so I guess you would feel relieved to have finally secured 25 points however it comes?
