Correction: Whiny Hayden teammate Pedrosa unable to place Nicky-developed pneumatic engine RC212V to better than mid-pack.

Question:
And did his heel injury hamper him in anyway?
Answer by NH:
"No, zero," he replied. "In the rain in front of that crowd and here at home, honestly I never felt it. Sure, it's probably not going to feel good in the morning, but for now no problem."

He is a true sportsman not a moaner......

Best race ran with that bike and those tyres. One can only hope that it reminds that they've backed the wrong horse and jockey (Pedrosa and Puig).
I look forward to Hayden beating Pedrosa consistently next season and rubbing Honda, Pedrosa and Puig noses in the sh1t...

It was cool to see huge slides from Nicky. Maybe Ducati Desmosedici GP9 suits that sliding style better than Honda?!

Fair play to the boy, he needed it for all sorts of reasons and how good was the shot of Mr Big from Honda glaring at the tv monitor in the HRC pits, classic! May be too many eggs in a small basket me thinks!

Flash in the pan, normal service will be restored with Flukey mid pack, Jorge was catching him hand over fist when the rain startd to lash it down s would have Dovi, casey and Spies had it not been red flagged.

He will fair no better on the Duke, remember I told you

Well done Nicky!

never really been a fan until this race.. but an excellent performance and the amount of crap the guy has put up with from honda and still be in a positive frame of mind..

a true sportsman unlike whiney little no personality pedrobot and his master puig.

i hope he gels with the desmo and shows honda what they are missing out on!

There's noway on earth i could ever be a Hayden fan, BUT that was a great ride, my problem with it is - why has this been the only good result all season, three races? from the end of 2008 and he's done sod-all!. i know he's had a pushbike crash or something and done his ankle but come on why the hell do ducati think he's gonna push stoner. this race, as prolific says is a flash in the pan for the home crowd.

I am not a fan of Nicky but he is the most gracious bloke in MotoGp, always diplomatic and doesn't jump up and done to get what he wants. People say Rossi is the best sportsman/ambassader in MotoGp but even Rossi and especially Stoner could learn a thing from Hayden. Congrats Hayden you totally deserve your podium and hope you do well on the Ducati in '09.

Fantastic race from Hayden, it's been a long time coming, but worth the wait. Glad to see him beat his team mate, especially with the pneumatic valve and Pedrosa's decision to swap tyre manufacturer (very odd mid season). Watching all that sliding around, I can't wait to see how he performs on the Ducati!

Come on guys love him or hate him how good will it be watching him spinning up and smoking the duke around!
Bottom line is he might not be champ again as easily as before but as they say 'you would buy a ticket ' surley that's what its all about.

Dear REPSOL:

I wish that HRC would take down Hayden's Wall in the pit box. There is no reason he can't share information with my son. I know we can develop the pnuematic valve bike faster than Spies can develop his Suzuki ride.

Dani is the Savior and Puig is his Prophet.

Nicky has got a fantastic attitude, gotta like him with those sort of comments.
I hope he does good on the Duke and i reckon he will, it's more like family than Honda ( one of the reasons Rossi left for Yamaha )

Good luck Nicky.
