Felipe Massa snatched a last-gasp pole position from under the nose of F1 title rival Lewis Hamilton as the pair went head-to-head in qualifying for the inaugural Singapore Grand Prix.
Not his number one fan but he performed very well. Considering the pressure of the championship and the toughness of this track. I give him a big hand.

How much fuel in the car?

Easily within 2 laps of LH and anyone else that matters. No, I didn't fuel their cars. That is my guess based on the replay of Massa's lap.

massa may be light but then again, after Q2 mess-up, so may lulu. a light first load could be good as the field will be quite close. coming in early could bring a driver back into totally clear air. the pit entry and exit seems certain to cause a few serious problems tomorrow. track seems rather narrow and there is not much light difference between daylight and night light. seems a little pointless apart from the tv schedules and bernies pocket. melbourne and other far east venues seem to cope. vettel could spring another surprise result and easily outperformed his teammate again. what happened hondas "improvement"?
Honda (or Button) got to Q2. That unfortunately IS improvement VS their 2008 form.

not suprised a ferrari is on pole, after it was said today that the tarmac that was laid for the track at singapore was supplied by shell a ferrari sponser and that the very same tarmac was laid at the ferrari test track at fiarano for ferrari to test there cars on. once again an unfair advantage to ferrari that ferrari's international assistance (fia)didn't stop.

Also af, that asphalt has been engineered to detect McLarens driving upon it and turn to petroleum jelly beneath them.
