Bit of a risk - if he doesn't do well in BSB then his reputation won't look so great. At the same time, it's great BSB is luring riders straight from MotoGP!

What the hell. Guintoli is far better than a domestic championship.
Although I tend to agree with Footari. If no-one will employ him in WSB or MotoGP then what are his options. Obscurity in the states (albeit mega bucks) or at least having a go in an incredibly competitive championship against other world class riders.
Fantastic for BSB too.
I also would imagine there is a WSB clause in his contract too for 2010.

Top guy and quality rider...he will be a serious asset to BSB but its a pity he can't find a ride in WSB or Motogp as he deserves to stay at that level....wrong passport I guess.

what a great rider. Question is which half of the garage will he work in? One is championship form and one can destroy the career of anybody, ask walker. Any way the big man knows the crack, hopefully he will choose right and not be blinded by the S&*T ......

If you think Walker is so special in the twilight of his career, then why isn't he blowing away the field in WSB? Watanabe has started to get some confidence and racecraft on the UK circuits and Sykes and Crutchlow have done well the past couple of seasons.
I hope Sylvain does well next season. I'm looking forward to hearing his godawful French-Derbyshire hybrid accent over the loudspeakers.
There AREN'T two sides to the Suzuki garage! I am sure that Tom Sykes has done wonders in developing the bike this year and riding it. Chris just didn't manage it last year, much as he has failed to get the better of Lavilla on the Bird bike in WSB. And poor Jack V is still bewildered by Watanabe's lack of pace. Jack's not used to having riders get lapped...

I wouldn't say BSB is going to be world class next year sleepy. It's pretty much lost all it's best riders to WSB.
And there shouldn't be any WSB clause, what does he have to prove, he put in some great MotoGP ride and should be straight into WSB.
Can't understend those stupidos whoose haven't chosen Guintoli to any team in WSBK!!!! that was a mistake.

Have to say that Jack V has done a good job at turning Rizla Suzuki's fortunes around - they seemed to loose their way after Paul denning moved up to MotoGP. From Ginters point of view it is a good competitive ride in very good domestic championship that will allow him to run up the front. Glenn Richards for the other seat.

I think he's a great addition to BSB, however, he's in for a bit of a shock at some of our less glamourous tracks and of course, our fantastic weather !!!

He lives in this country, so he should be used to it by now. The circuits on the other hand... Jack says intensive training could be in order!

Have to agree with the above, there are two sides to the garage, take the last two years, sykes and crutchlow on good form for rizla, both crewed by PJ. The other half has had no sucess, wonder why...? If they scale the team to 1 rider next, do the right thing Jack...

Jack V still has some dead wood to clear - it was his first year and he will no doubt make the changes needed to improve the team. Look how many riders they have been through since Denning left - there was an attitude of we know what we are doing, the bikes are wonderful and therefore it just be the riders fault.

I only got to see him speak just once (at the Thursday Q&A at Indy - never see interviews of him on TV cause only Stoner can ride the Ducati), but he was a funny guy so I've become a fan. Too bad to see him go to BSB where I can't watch him. I was hoping he'd get the Yamaha ride that he tested in WSBK, but that went to Sykes and Spies. I hope to see him advance to Alstare or another WSBK team in 2010. ]

I think Rizla's problem was their ability to ignore what riders told them (post Paul Denning). Walker and Crutchlow both had rear end grip problems all year, Buckmaster didn't seem to care about fixing it! Then Sykes did at the beginning of the year until they sorted it out. Jack Valentine takes no cr@p, wants to win and knows how to. Christ knows what Watanabe's issues are! Good luck Sylvain, better a good team in BSB than a sh(t one in WSB.

Looks like the only way the mtogp guys are going to get to win a motor bike race is to race where Stoner and Rossi are not racing.

It sounds like Ginters probably signed a deal with Suzuki as opposed to a Suzuki Team. Although, signing a Suzuki contract basically means he can be put in any championship. I think Colin Edwards has a similar contract with Yamaha?
Maybe they just said to him, we've got riders in all other championships except BSB.. and he's replied "oh merde - ah well it's a ride!"
Will be great to see Ginters @ Brands Hatch in BSB, although i think he may only be there for one season...
