Raikkonen hints at 'heavy fuel load' in Fuji.

Defending Formula 1 World Champion Kimi Raikkonen – who will almost certainly be forced to concede his trophy should he fail to triumph in this weekend's Japanese Grand Prix – has suggested that he is carrying a heavy fuel load on-board his Ferrari after lining up second on the grid at Fuji Speedway.

I really don't think so Kimi, but we will see how good a lap you did. Just make sure you have a clean race and don't even try and take Lewis out, penalties will be for both you and Massa....... We are watching!!!!!

Follow your strategy Mclaren, ferrari sound desperate, I reckon Kimi will be in on 15 laps if that, just trying to panic Mclaren...if anything, that kind of talk should give mclaren confidence...a big advantage and you wouldn't waste your time...

@F1 Fan, why would Massa be penalized if Kimi takes Lewis out? Lewis is in a tough spot because he would be foolish to get caught up in a tangle with Kimi. Kimi has the luxury of being in a position to take advantage of Lewis's need to score points. The question is will Lewis remember that he only has to finish second in all of remaining races.

If luck would have it, Massa will blow his engine this race.

I don't feel Massa deserves the world title with points that he didn't win from his own effort.

As for Kimi - he won the WDC by 1 point - incredibe 'achievement' Kimi....NOT.

The Kimi of 2003 was incredible (and years before), the Kimi at Ferrari is lacklustre.

I think if Kimi gets Lewis into turn one, he has a chance, otherwise he will have 8 bad laps geting the tires to work then fly. He's done this all season, the car just does not suit him.

So long as Lewis finishes infront of Massa, I don't care!!!

Verbal sandbagging by Ferrari - Kimi has to be light, he's in a rear-gunner position team wise, and the only thing that stuffed up Ferraris intention of putting Kimi on pole and Massa 2nd ws Felipes inability to get his car to stick with fuel in it.

Kimi's qualifying has been poor all season, and suddenly he's well ahead of his teammate? Let not forget either, he has develoepd a habit of dropping a place or so off the line. He's also go Alonso right behind him, and Kovi to his side. Kimi will be more concerned about his mirrors than Hamilton.

Kerry, I think it slightly wrong to knock any world champion, how ever little they win by they are still the champion...the history books will read

05 - Alonso
06 - Alonso
07 - Raikonnen
08 - Massa/Hamilton

My point being that in decades time people wont remember what went on, you can not take away something as big as a world championship from any one. The one who deserves it most will be the driver with the most points at the end. To think otherwise is to show a blatent bias in either direction

F1 Fan,
what are you talking about? I think you have your facts backwards, I don't think Kimi has EVER intentionaly taken someone out, he has way to much class. On the other hand that low class gangsta rap loving fool HAMI has taken out a ferrari out on more than once. You are right about one thing we WILL be watching!

I guess you are right, Kimi would not intentionally take LH out, but he has nothing to lose and will certainly try to outdrag LH at the 1st corner, with a heavy fuel load!! and cold tyres - anything can happen now. By the way which other time than the pit lane incident did LH take out a Ferrari?

Unfortunately for you LH has talent, it might be raw in places, but we will see on the track and I am pretty sure will see a level of domination in the coming years, like it or not. His ability after only his second year in F1 is incredible. Sorry Kimi, you are fast and can be explosive, maybe you have peaked!!

If Kimi does beat Lewis off the line,Lewis wont have any problem overtaking him. He's done it before and will do it many more times in the future.Only problem is will the FIA allow anyone to overtake???????

I definitely think that Crash.net have totally misinterpreted Kimi's words(which isn't the first time, and won't be the last). Kimi is surley no heavier than Lewis, and might even be a bit lighter. He wasn't that much of a threat earlier on in the session, and his drastic improvement in Q3 suggested that Ferrari didn't fuel him too heavy...
I reckon that when Kimi was saying 'heavy' fuel load, he was talking about the race fuel in Q3 in comparison to the low fuel Q2 and Q1, and not in comparison to his direct rivals.....
