Wilson did his best to stay with the three-time champion, but had to settle for his second consecutive runner-up finish at Portland International Raceway after RSports' resurgence came up short when it mattered.
“The first stint was working really well, I was just cruising really," the Briton reported, "I was very comfortable with the car, which felt really nice to drive. In the second stint, I was expecting to pick up the pace, but it never happened and I was a little bit surprised at that. But, you know, ultimately, weren't quite quick enough. Sebastien just slowly ate into my lead and, after the second pit-stop, managed to get by me.
"I'm pleased to get on the podium, the #9 CDW crew did a great job all weekend. I'm really proud of them. Hopefully, we can be up there and challenging for the win at Cleveland.”
Team-mate Tagliani continued his consistent start to 2007, earning a third top-five finish of the season with fifth place behind Power, while Dan Clarke's rise up the field continued as the Briton started his Minardi entry from ninth and moved up to sixth by the chequered flag, his best finish of the season.
Rookie Tristan Gommendy again showed promise in seventh, although the young Frenchman - who took fifth on debut in Las Vegas and led laps at both Long Beach and Houston - will be ruing the error in qualifying that denied him a front row spot alongside Wilson. Champ Car Atlantic graduates Simon Pagenaud and Graham Rahal both earned top-ten positions, finishing eighth and ninth respectively, with Tracy rounding out the leading group.
New Forsythe team-mate Oriol Servia was next up, ahead of Neel Jani, Bruno Junqueira and Ryan Dalziel, while the returning Jan Heylen ran strongly before having to settle for 15th after his Conquest racing car went sick on the 101st lap. The Belgian still finished ahead of Alex Figge, while Katherine Legge saw a potential 14th place finish go west when her car cried enough in the opening corner on lap 100.
