The Champ Car World Series has retained the bulk of its 2005 broadcasting team for the new season with host Rick Benjamin and ‘play-by-play' duo Derek Daly and Jon Beekhuis all coming back for another season in 2006.

Steele may be new to Champ Car but is no novice in the racing world, having competed in the gruelling Baja 1000 as well as many other off-road races. He also has considerable motorsports broadcast experience with various networks.
