PJ Chesson to join veteran Indycar Series owner/driver for the season-ending race at Chicagoland.

Eponymous Indycar Series team owner Marty Roth will add a second car to his arsenal in the season finale at Chicagoland next month for the redoubtable PJ Chesson.

Chesson, who hasn't raced in the Indycar Series since last year's Indianapolis 500, will drive Roth's debuting #73 Dallara-Honda alongside the veteran team boss for what will be just his fifth career Indycar Series start.

Roth's ability to run a second car in the season ending Mr Peak Antifreeze 300 stems from a sponsorship deal with Dussault Apparel Inc, which is using the race to help launch a new ‘Monster' themed brand of clothing.

The firm, which looks set to provide Chesson with a suitably garish paint-scheme for the race, is running a comptition to name its new ‘monster' in conjunction with the deal.

The #73 Dallara-Honda was originally earmarked for would-be Indy Pro Series champion Alex Lloyd although a clash of testing commitments scuppered that deal and Chesson's arrival will help the Indycar Series to what could be its biggest starting field of the season outside of the Indianapolis 500.

In addition to Roth and Chesson, Milka Duno is scheduled to drive for the Samax team whilst the driver more than likely to finish second in this year's IPS behind Lloyd, Japanese driver Hideki Mutoh, is slated to drive a third Panther Racing entry thus bringing the entry list to 22.
