After a delay of a couple of months, Pacific Coast Motorsport is set to add its name to those already having made the switch from Champ Car to the unified IndyCar Series.

The former sportscar outfit bade farewell to the now defunct Champ Car World Series with a two-car entry in Sunday's Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach - claiming a maiden podium with Mario Dominguez - and almost immediately served notice of an announcement regarding its IndyCar ambitions, which look set to involve the Mexican veteran.

Confirmation is expected to come from Mexico City later today [Wednesday], with Dominguez being inked to a single PCM Dallara-Honda in time for the build-up to next month's Indianapolis 500. Long Beach team-mate - and long-time PCM stalwart - Alex Figge is not expected to be involved with the effort, despite the fact the helped to form the team with Tyler Tadevic and his family remain involved. Figge's plans for the rest of 2008 are set to be announced in the coming weeks.

Dominguez's entry looks set to carry backing from the Mexican tourism industry. The veteran is the 'official driver of Mexico City'.
