Ganassi man on top during limited running.

The day also saw Alex Lloyd return to the track after being medically cleared to get back behind the wheel of his Rahal Letterman with Chip Ganassi car following his accident earlier in the month.

"It was nice to get in the car and get in at least a few laps today with the way the weather was looking," he said. "We were basically just doing leak-checks, having had the accident and put the car back together again. We wanted to make sure everything was OK. We got what we needed to accomplish today. Hopefully, if we get some running in tomorrow we can get a couple more laps at speed and see what we can do."

Jeff Simmons and Roger Yasukawa also saw their first on-track action of the month, finishing up 22nd and 25th of the 29 drivers to hit the track.
