Conquest Racing head to Milwaukee keen to build on an encouraging performance in the Indianapolis 500, one that saw Enrique Bernoldi finish on the lead lap in 15th and as the third highest Champ Car convert.

Marking Bernoldi's first finish on an oval so far this year, the team are now looking for their next milestone of getting both cars to the chequered flag.

Indeed, the team have been hard at work since the classic race after Jamie Camara was involved in a heavy shunt which eliminated him from the race and left the Conquest crew plenty of repairs to do.

Nonetheless, the Brazilian duo head to Milwaukee with confidence, not least Camara who scored a victory there in 2006 whilst competing in the Indy Pro Series.

“I really want to do well this weekend in Milwaukee for the team. They have worked so hard during the whole month of May and I made their job even harder with my accident during the Indy 500 race. They deserve a good result. I'm confident I can bounce back from my crash and put in a strong performance this weekend.

“I have good memories of Milwaukee in Indy Lights with a pole position and a win so hopefully I can carry that success over with me. The team also knows the Milwaukee Mile very well for having raced there in the past and that will certainly help us as well.”

Bernoldi, meanwhile, is looking to get another finish on the board after his Indy breakthrough, although he admits that he still has plenty to learn about oval racing.

“Milwaukee will be my first one mile oval track so again, a new experience to soak in. I'm feeling really good heading into this weekend after a very good Indy 500 race. It was the first oval race that I finished and it meant a lot to me to complete that race.

“I learned a lot from it and even if no other oval resembles it there are still things I learned at the Speedway that I can take with me for the rest of the season. It has given us a lot of momentum and I hope that we can continue to build on that as we go along.”
