Formula Atlantic outfit Genoa Racing has revealed plans to run a two-car team in the Firestone Indy Lights in 2009.

The team, which has enjoyed success in International Formula 3000, Atlantic, Indy Lights and IndyCar competition over the past three decades, will run the Indy Lights outfit under the banner of Genoa Indy Lights.

"At our core, we are racers," Thomas Knapp, team manager and chief engineer, said. "We have the infrastructure, the experience, the heritage and the heart to compete, and we don't feel that we're performing up to our full potential if we're not growing.
