Robby Gordon refused to rule out another attempt at the Indy 500/Coke 600 double after rain at The Brickyard scuppered his 2004 marathon bid.

“It is disappointing that we didn't get to run as good we had hoped for and as well as our sponsors wanted us to but I want to thank everyone who supported up: Meijer, Coca-Cola, Grill-to-Go, Cingular Wireless, Chevrolet and Dallara for helping us with the efforts and Red Bull for helping me through the night.”

Although Gordon wouldn't be drawn on whether or not another Indy/Charlotte double was on the cards, he refused to rule one out and said that if he does, he would be in an Indy winning position.

"We'll see,” he smiled. “We will be competitive if we show up there."
