Neil Cunningham: A Radical switch.

Wednesday, 11th April 2007

Neil Cunningham is back in Embassy Racing colours for 2007 as the ambitious British team tackles the Le Mans Series for the first time. In his first exclusive Crash.net column, he looks ahead to the opening race at Monza and a ‘Radical’ change to the Embassy programme.

If we could get a top six finish in our class at Monza then it would be great, but the problem with LMP2 at the moment is that it is getting very competitive. If you speak to someone like Tommy Erdos [RML], he is feeling the pressure as there are a lot of quick cars and quick driver pairings out there. It has really lifted the game in the LMP2 class and if we could go out there and get a top six at such short notice then it would be brilliant. Warren is a really quick driver and is great to work with and it would be a real boost for the team if we could go out there and get the job done in the first race.

We all want to win races this season and if we can do it in the next couple of rounds then it would be fantastic for us. But at the end of the day – wins are what we are pushing for.

I’ll fill you in on how it goes once I get back – until then,

PS – I don’t think that’s too bad when I couldn’t think of anything to tell you!
