I’m looking forward to the next round at Spa. We have been developing the car a lot since the first race in Barcelona – a circuit that requires a similar sort of set-up, with a lot of quick corners. Monza was very different; it was more like Le Mans, with very long straights and very low downforce. I think we will have a much better car in Spa, and Olivier and I both know the track very well. Obviously it will be difficult, because even if we have gained a few tenths it still won’t be enough to catch the Lola Aston Martin or the Audis, but I think we will be closer.
Beyond that we need to work very hard, because Le Mans is only just over a month away now and there is a very long list of things that we need to do on the car. It’s difficult to say at the moment that we are expecting anything from Le Mans. It would be good to finish in a good position there, but it won’t be easy in the first year for sure. Let’s see how we go…
A bientôt,
Nico
