Fredy Lienhard and Didier Theys have confirmed speculation that they will share a Porsche RS Spyder fielded by Horag Racing in next year's Le Mans Series.
The entry will be the first RS Spyder in the LMS, and replaces Horag's Lola-Judd, which is currently fourth in the series' LMP2 standings having won the class at Monza at the start of the season. The team will be sponsored by Lista Office LO, the state-of-the-art Swiss office furniture manufacturer, and will continue to use Michelin tyres. Although technically is a privateer effort, Theys said the team will receive technical support from Porsche. It will begin testing its new car in November, and a third driver will be announced in due course.
"Fredy and I started racing together 40 years ago, and our team's relationship with Didier goes back about 25 years," team owner Markus Hotz said, "All of us still enjoy working together, undertaking new challenges, and winning races. We look forward to the challenge of developing good set-ups for a car that is new to us. Our team has very high hopes for the new season."
In addition to the full LMS campaign, the team also hopes to enter the car in the American Le Mans Series' races at Sebring and Petit Le Mans.
