Guillaume Moreau will again combine his primary single-seater campaign with sportscars in 2008, having agreed to pilot the Luc Alphand Adventures team's Corvette C6.R at both the Le Mans 24 Hours and in the Le Mans Series itself.

The Frenchman received his first taste of endurance racing this year, and is delighted to have been offered the chance to continue - even if his ambitions are higher for next season.

“I really liked the 2007 season, even if I found it a bit frustrating in endurance because I didn't race in all the events," he admitted, "Changing from the World Series by Renault to the Courage LMP1 didn't pose any problems - quite the contrary, in fact - and, when we saw that the World Series by Renault and the Le Mans Series calendars were compatible, we explored the opportunities they offered to help my career progress.

"Thanks to the backing of my partner, Manitou, which uses the Le Mans 24 Hours as one of its major promotional tools, we reached agreement with Luc Alphand Adventures. The programme on offer fulfils my expectations in every respect.”

In just a few years, the Sarthe-based team set up by the former world ski champion has achieved an enviable reputation. Backed by General Motors through its works team Pratt & Miller, the team will run a pair of C6.R Corvettes, with all the latest tweaks, against the likes of Aston Martin and Saleen next season.

“It's a real first for me, but I know I'll get used to it very quickly," Moreau said of the thought of racing with a roof over his head, "The GT1s are very quick cars, which finish in the first ten in the Le Mans 24 Hours on a regular basis. I'll make the most of the experience I've accumulated in 2007, and I'm really delighted with this programme, as I know I'm going to race in the very best conditions. My car, my co-drivers, the management and the technical staff are all top level.”

The Frenchman will cross the Atlantic to have his first taste of the Corvette on 21-22 January, when he links up with the team and its other drivers at Sebring.
