The Australian beat fellow Yamaha AMA star Grant Langston on Friday and Sunday night, with American Andrew Short getting closest to Reed on Saturday.

Reed thus won the overall crown by 8 points from Langston, with Short a further five points back after his 4-2-3 results. However, in the teams' classification, Short led Team USA to a 3 point victory over home nation France, although the 'rest of the world' also scored seven points.

"I couldn't have expected a better result for my comeback in Bercy, and I'm so happy to win this race," said Reed, a former AMA Supercross champion. "During the three nights I had to battle hard with Grant Langston and Andrew Short, and it was good preparation for next season. The crowd was amazing, as always in Bercy, and I had good time here in Paris."
