Smith column: Back down to earth with a bump.

Friday, 20th October 2006

"The thing highsided me without warning and I fell hard onto the tarmac. It hurt both physically and mentally, but first I had to play dodgems missing the others whizzing past me..."

I have already said to myself that it is a 'new' track in my head so I can get at it with a little bit more aggression and speed. Danny Webb will be a wild-card alongside me so it’ll be nice to get him back into a GP after his bad luck in Catalunya where he crashed and broke his arm; he needs to be in GPs to boost his confidence even further. It’s the highest level championship on the planet; nowhere higher!

In the meantime, I’m going to enjoy this weekend and knock a golf ball around. Something different as I’m not that great at it, but it’s a bit of fun.

See you in Valencia guys!
