The British fans will get their one and only chance of the year to watch 20 year- old
Jorge Lorenzo in action in the 27-lap 250cc race. The flamboyant Spaniard looks certain to join the
MotoGP class next year after winning the 250cc title last term and dominating the proceedings this season riding the Fortuna Aprilia. He’s won five of the opening seven races this year and leads former 125cc World Champion, Italian Andre Dovizioso by 36 points in the title chases. He won at
Donington last year and so prepare for some special race winning celebrations from the Majorcan lad. Watch out also for last year’s 125cc winner Alvaro Bautista and his team-mate
Alex de Angelis.
The 125 cc class has produced six separate winners in the opening seven rounds with Hungarian Gabor Talmacsi leading the way by 13 points from his Bancaja Aspar Aprilia team-mate Hector Faubel who was brought down by third placed Lukas Pesek in Barcelona. It’s been a typically fast and furious start to the 125cc season which is certain to continue in the 25-lap race on Sunday.
