After Miller I went back home for a few week break before my next race at Laguna Seca. Over last weekend I went to the Sachsenring for the GP which was good. It’s the first chance I’ve had to get to a GP this year and won’t be able to go to another in Europe until Valencia. It was a good weekend and nice to catch up with friends who I haven’t seen for about 9 months.
This weekend we’re alongside MotoGP at Laguna Seca which I cannot wait for. I’ve always wanted to ride Laguna because of the 'Corkscrew' so I’m pretty excited about that. The only thing is that because we’re alongside
MotoGP, we only get about 1 ½ hours of track time before the race so if I want to have a good show I better be first out of the gate in all the practice sessions.
They say it’s one of the most technical tracks in the US so it’s definitely not going to be an easy weekend but hopefully I can put on a decent show for a few friends in the MotoGP paddock. My next stint in America is going to be about 6 weeks over there with 3 races in that period. It will definitely be a tough stint but it’s a very important part of the season and I’m looking forward to backing up my podium and proving that it’s not just a one off.
Thanks again to everybody for their support, Celtic Racing, Mark Hamilton, Dunlop Tyres, Yamaha, Shoei, Alpinestars and Berik
