Lorenzo led the race from start to finish, although closest title rival
Andrea Dovizioso was at least in touch for all but the closing stages, when the #1 Fortuna Aprilia rode into the distance.
Lorenzo eventually clinched his seventh win of the season by 7.708secs over the Honda mounted Italian, while Mika Kallio took third place for KTM after a collision with
Alex de Angelis three laps from the finish left the San Marinese in the gravel.
Lorenzo now holds a 30 point lead over Dovizioso in the world championship standings.
