Pedrosa, who had qualified on pole for the fourth successive race, lost out to MotoGP world champion Casey Stoner and team-mate Nicky Hayden into turn one, but was quickly back past Hayden and chasing down the Ducati star.
There you go boys and girls. I predicted yesterday;
"If Pedrosa is running in second, then Stoner will let him through to win. Stoner doesn't need the win, and the glee in the Ducati camp (after all the bull from Rossi and his fans towards Casey this year) to see Rossi denied the runner-up spot would be massive. Go Dani - you have a red guardian angel helping you tomorrow!"
And it happened didn't it? Stoner looked remarkably happy with coming second, happier than any other time in the season when he hadn't won. Interesting that he also got a pit-board signal saying 'Rossi out'.
What a total humiliation for Rossi, having to rely on Stoner to try and salvage 2nd place in the championship. And Michelin proves it is still very competitive, just as Rossi chooses to jump ship!
All in all, a perfect day. Ha Ha Ha. Ha Ha Ha. HA HA HA HA HA.

He couldn't match the pace of Pedrosa, shape of things to come my friend. Next year it will be a different picture ;) Congratulations to Pedrosa, feel sorry for Rossi, at least he went out and tried, the Spanish spectators even stood up and cheered him on for that!

Well done Danny, an excellent performance. With Michelin getting their act together now, this will be the battle for the championship in 2008 ... Stoner and Pedrosa knocking spots off each other as they did in 250's. Can't wait!

Depends how you look at Frankie. You could also say that when Casey was passed on the straight for virtually the first time this season, he couldn't retaliate.
I think Dani will win the championship next year.

Humiliation for Rossi?????? I think not somehow. Anyone who rides any bike (bet not many of you do) will know how fcuking hard it would be to ride a 210BHP bike with 3 broken bones in your right hand!. The same hand that must pull the front brake too!.... He'd have got the point he needed despite the injuries, but his piss poor yam let him down. He'd never rely on Stoner, & if he's anything he's not humiliated. It's only the first time in 11 years he's not been in the top 2 of whatever he's competed in!
Next year won't be a repeat of this year thats for sure..... He'll learn from his mistakes & the team will correct alot of the bikes issues & all will be much more equal next season.

I wonder how many of us actually believe Rossi can come back on Bridgestones ... ?

Frankie, these guys are professionals, and not "Dallas-soup-opera-stars", colaborating against each other... This race was won by Dani alone! But at one point I agree with U: what a perfect day it is : first Talmacsi won the 125cc title of 2007, and later Dani P won the MotoGP race!!! Yeah, I also hope for Dani winning next year's champs!!! ¡Ánimo, Daniiiii!!!!! ;)

Being a Pedrosa fan, I'm really happy for his win today! What a great race of his!!
He has proven what a great ridert he is, even not having the best bike he is up there...
Dani seems to have found some tyres the others haven't...
I agree with the ones who say "Dani to win next year championship"... I hope so too!
Keep grasping at the straws Rossi groupies. Runner-up last year. Third this year. Fourth or fifth next year (if he's lucky). Dream on if you think he has any chance of regaining the championship in 2008 or any other year.

Frankie you're a tool. Rossi pulled out the race only due to an engine failure.
The only humiliation is on Yamaha for failing Valentino yet again.
People who ride bikes with broken bones are not 'humilliated' but brave.

Yep Dani had better rubber today, great race by him, If this is the way back for Michelin then Vale has something to think about. (Casey is still going to beat both of them again next ye****)

Yer well done Danni. You managed to beat Rossi to second after he was injured. He still managed to beat you in races that you were both competive **** You must be really proud.

Hey Grumpy Doctor, let's see: It was Ducati traction control (but Honda won?) no, sorry, it was Michelin tires (which Pedrosa won on), no, sorry, It was a crap Yamaha (but Rossi and Burgess developed it!), no, sorry, it was broken fingers (but everyone else has dealt with injuries and ridden), no, sorry, the rider is most important (Rossi's words), no, sorry, it was the phase of the moon, no sorry,
I know! It was VALENTINO HOFFMAN BIAGGI !!!!! Excuse after excuse after excuse after excuse, and give up, take my ball and go home.
We are finally seeing the real Valentino Rossi without the mechanical advantages he used to have but pissed away because he thought he was God.

Just so Hopkins fan. For years he had the best bike and best hand made tyres. And who was the competition? Biaggi? Gibernau? Don't make me laugh! Without these advantages and with some real compeition then we see the real Rossi, which is not so impressive. Biggest media con trick ever. P.S. Grumpy Doctor you are the tool. Every post of yours smacks of Rossi butt kissing. Get over it.

You guys seem to loose all sense of reality - Rossi, Pedrosa, Stoner, are all hugely talented riders and they all require bikes, tires, etc to gell before they can win regulary.Rossi is having a bad patch, whereas Stoner has hit a good patch. The fact that Pedrosa and Rossi still win without the "percieved" best package, speaks volumes for their skill. You could give plenty of other guys on the grid the perfect package and they would still only manage 5th.
Stop getting so bitter about a sport you supposedly enjoy.

With the best bike on earth he couldn't even compete Dani? Face it.. Stoner lost today, just like Vale in Catalunya.. The big difference is Valentino Rossi compeletly pushed Stoner realy hard that day and given us a good show that make the other sports look boring.. ;)
Of course I'm gonna believe what Yamaha engineer said rather than your non-based low comment Rossi haters.. If they say it was the engine then it was the engine.. fiuhh, shame on you..

What have you been smoking Ash? Casey was leading the timesheets most of the weekend, and gained an easy second place in a season where he won 11 times and romped away with the championship. I'm not a Stoner fan, but to suggest Casey is nothing shows either idiocy, or lunacy (or both) of the highest order. No doubt you are one of these rabid Rossi fans who just can't bear the thought of him not winning. You really are very very sad people. Get a life!
