The three-day test is being attended by the majority of teams and riders - with the notable exceptions of Fiat Yamaha and Repsol Honda's Dani Pedrosa (injured).
Good on you Casey !!!! He was also fastest in the wet Good to see the rookies up there again, I can see the fight for runner up is going to be exciting this year.
That's a hell of a pace!! Good on him...I hope it's all Bridgestone

yamaha and honda will come out fighting, casey will revert back to his old ways of buckling under pressure and falling off! just look at testing last year he pushed too hard cos people were close to him and he fell injuring himself! i spose tho, if you got the bike thats fastest in a straight line then your going to be quickest at tracks with a semi long straight,
I understand that he fell off just prior to Christmas because the 2008 Specifications were not settled and it induced a high-sided unscheduled demount.
It appears at this very early stage that the package is getting settled quite nicely, thank you very much.
after reading comments last year about how melandri was gonna sort out casey and how caseys a **** ride i started to believe it..... wheres casey? Wheres melandri? yer thats right go aussies!!!

Mark Burbridge - "casey will revert back to his old ways of buckling under pressure and falling off!" Did you watch any of the MotoGP races last year? I seem to remember that Casey was very good under pressure and didn't fall off...at all. And won lots.

none of this matters as Rossi wasn't there.

Rossi needs to get as much time on Bridgestones as possible, are the factory yamaha team on a private test or do they think they can afford to miss this time?
Stoner is mentally tougher than anyone else on the grid - Krusty tried every trick in the book when shadowing him, but it didn't phase Stoner one bit and Krusty ended up making the mistakes. Krusty under pressure folds faster than an origami expert - anyone remember Valencia 2006. As far as mind games go Stoner has everyone beat before a wheel is even turned.

What is Hoffman up to this year? Anyone have any info on him?

Alex Hofmann has become the official tester for Aprilia, they built a fourcylinder bike for the WSBK series that he just rode at Jerez de la Frontera, it is very secret but they plan to field it in 2009 and he may get wildcard appearances with it this year and possibly ride it as regular racer in 2009.

Probably even more off topic, Yamaha will run a 250cc bike with Indonesian rider Doni Tata Pradita in 2008. He had a wildcard ride at Sepang last season. At least one more brand competing in the class ;-)
