Fiat Yamaha, Repsol Honda and Honda Gresini, plus the Yamaha and Kawasaki test teams, were present in Malaysia this week - although, as planned, Hayden and Repsol Honda finished their Sepang test programme on Wednesday.
if this is correct or not, please feel free to let me know, but it seems on motogp.com, that rossi's fastest lap on race tyres was 2.01.190, which means he's just now 2 tenths off stoner's fastest from the previous test, its gettin closer and looking more exciting.
I'm actually pretty blown away with lorenzo's lap, something special that is.
The clowns fastest lap on race tyres was still not quicker then Stoners lap, even though he spent 3 days more testing then what Stoner did at Sepang..LOL
Well done Jorge..

That's right Slow Joe .. but don't fall for the trap of comparing times from 2 different test sessions; even at the same track. The same day, same conditions data is all you should compare. Makes for interesting speculation all the same. Lots of talk from all tests about the lack of engine power from Honda though. Thats got be worrying Hayden etc.

The Fiat Yamaha rider completed 14 laps in the 2.01 bracket, with a best of 2:01.437 coming on his 20th lap.

well either way, his times are slowly improving and gettin consistent, i didnt realise you have to be the fastest straight from the start on new material.
yes stoner done it last year, but all u have to look at is 2006, he lost the front so many times once he moved to bridgestone with their uncrashable front tyre it was going to work and im not knocking him, he done well, but he's not the first person to win a championship with it being his first season on a new bike...is he!?
anyway, bring on Jerez and let's see if stoner can improve at whats been a bit of a bogey track for him.
Im impressed by Valentinos times - dont forget, he has no tyre information from last year - just from testing late last year. Go Vale - you will be the comeback kid this ye***** ;)
Go Horhay! rock dat boat boy... Now I sorta gotta wonder just how fast the clown might of been if he had stayed on those flunky Michelins then eh! that is going to come back to haunt him I reckon no doubt before long... ;)

2006 was his debut year as a Rookie. Since then he as notched up was it 11 races wins and 1 championship. This makes his 2006 pretty irrelevant. 2006 is ancient history for Stonner...
2007 was a rookie year for everyone tho, it was a fresh start.
new bikes and no data for any races, apart from the tracks they tested at.
like i've said before, when stoner went to ducati and bridgestone, something clicked and it clicked big time, anyone can see stoner has talent...all i want is to see all the bikes and tyres level on performance so that there is no more petty arguments on who is the best rider.
I think stoner's great..but he's no rossi, as much as people will argue it, he's no rossi...not yet.
