James Toseland left his new MotoGP rivals in little doubt as to his grand prix potential by concluding the final pre-season test in a superb second position, just 0.040secs from the top.
Great news for JT and for British bike racing in general. Let's hope he keeps his feet on the ground and let's face it, that must be difficult with the company sitting below him on the timesheets. As we all know, races aren't won in a lap, but early days show that Michelin has been working hard and perhaps the balance has swung back in their favour at certain tracks ?. Stoner and Rossi still ace it for me on race pace, but with De Puniet, Toseland and De Angelis all looking good on race tyres, the old guard are going to have some puppies nipping at their heels....Shame Toseland's bikes colour scheme looks like something out of a 1980's club race....Roll on next weekend !!!!!!!!

He has more fans than some of the tossers already racing in gp. Go JT. About time we had a good gb rider in the mix.

Tosser? I didnt follow WSBK that close last season, but I had the impression that he's a very professional rider who tries bloody hard.
Hopefully he'll have 125/250 champion Bladley Smith to keep himon his toes in a few seasons.
C'mon Yorkshire Tea, you know you want to sponsor him!!!

*************Please Note************---- 'But then a again Tosser is a bit Lordy...probably has something to do with having no fans'-- was not sent by me (Peo peo) but by an imposter. Not one to point the finger, but considering the abuse I have recieved for supporting Rossi I can take a fairly educated guess.... I am a staunch Jamie Toseland fan and have been following him for many years hence my first comment concerning sponsorship. This act suggests that the site has now lost any credibility for non registered bloggers....Well done your childishness has put into question every non registered opinion on the site.......You know who you are......

It is no surprise that one of Stoners stauchest fans and winner of 'most likely to insult if opinion is not agreed to of the year' is the first to take offence...I think that's your mum? it's time to brush your hair.... Peo peo will never again be used by me to blog on this site......enjoy....

Peo I suspect the only little boy in the world who can set up and race a bike is the imposter, don't let him beat you just register then we will all know the real from the fake ;)
Peo Peo you disgust me! If your going to say something, at least be man enough to back it up. Just because GB'ers cant ride for sh1t is no excuse. So he is a bit "homo" theres nothring wrong with that! Homophobe!

peo peo, I had the same once, and we're not alone. The anonymity allows sick brainless nerds to completely abandon minimal rules of dignity. Just ignore them and correct it like you did just now.
No offence, but it is very likely a "Crashy Cult Member" or at least one of the brainless posters that cannot continue any normal discussion without calling people names (idiot, dumbass, Ostrich, Groupie etc.) or giving the racers provokative names like Pedrobot, Clown, Horhay or Lunatic.
It may be you offended their God or offended Terra Australis. It makes them mad...

Alright I said it? So what if you dont like its true...OK rob is his only fan how homo is that. Take it lika a man.....JT does.....in a lordy kinda way?

Rog now you just part of the problem...I think we know now.
If you Americans only had a clue youd be dangerous.....Thats what happens when your ignored by the rest of the world, you start picking un us weak europeans. Nicky Hayden was lucky, he will never win again. Go back to AMA

if jt had the faster engine he'd have beaten jl. jt must have been on the brakes later into the corners, hanging higher corner speed and on the throttle earlier just to keep up with the 10-15 bhp newer machine, 0.040 seconds behind also what about the torque of the new engine. no sponsorship yet is a bit of a worry, it should come,a proven team with 2 champions on board, that are doing rather well. I'm counting the hours down to the first race,i cant wait, gonna be a good season, hope stoner doesn't do a demolish ion job of it, i don't mind who wears the number 1 plate next year, but when the race starts i be wearing my union jack shorts, come on jt

here here zedman.
When JT and colin get the new spec motor, they should challenge at the longer tracks. I would love to see JT as rookie of the year, but the fact is he has SO many tracks to learn, I think we'll see him shining at WSB tracks.

Amazing Job done there James!!!!! Can,t bloody wait till next week!!!! Show um the Money Hun!!! Bxxx
Ok I registered my user name, peo I suggest you do the same.
I don't care if JT is straight, gay or bi, win or loose in motogp the guy has earned the right to some respect. He's not the most natural of talents but his approach is very much the right one, he works hard, he works smart, learns well and tends not to make repeat mistakes. By 2010 he could well rub a few noses in it. ;)
And not just Toseland as an English hope for this year. Glancing over at the MotoGP website shows 3 Brit lads in the top 6 in yesterdays 125 night test at Quatar, with that man Bradley leading the way yet again. Counting down the hours till that first race....
