Looks like Rossi has finally cracked some of the setup/tire issues!

It's only another practice session mate.... Qualifying should give us a clearer picture (before the qualifiers go in)... Good to see Rossi and Burgess working out the problems though

I am curious what the Rossi-haters will say now? Still nog first, but he made some good progress, maybe he's on a Yamaha with a ducati engine now? And what to say about Melandri's time 16th 'fastest' not that good...The rookies, accept for Lorenzo an Dovi didn't do so good as yesterday either. But still they are good up front.

I'm realy looking forward to the race and I hope for a good fight between the top 5. Espacialy Rossi-Stoner. (with fight I don't mean that Stoner passes everyone on the straight line, but I mean the real work!

I'd really like to think that Rossi has found a way forward, but he was only 0.4s behind Stoner in FP1 yesterday, at the same time of day (night). It was when the temperatures really dropped in FP2 that he struggled badly. Lorenzo looks better and better - those Michelin qualifiers will see him on pole.

Damn, 4 10ths off in 3rd place...Rossi isn't even laying a glove on Lorenzo let alone Stoner. He he...GOOD!

...although you cannot say who made real improvements, as there is no indication about the use of Q tires. I cannot wait to see the analysis allowing to make further assumptions about the value of improvements

i think rossi may struggle a little when the qualy's go in

once he gets the tyre's up to working temp he's fine, he's always rode like that.

lets hope he can make em work and qualy can be nice and close

btw, come on smith, redding and webb...class stuff from the young lads!

I agree zak, we have to have some patience, we soon find out, think that Michelin has the advantage over Bridgstone also on race rubber..

I'm pleased, but not wildly surprised, at Rossi's improvement.
Personally, I'd be delighted to see JT win the championship but probably that's not realistic this year (a win or two would go down well tho). Second choice Stoner or Hayden because both were deluged with a lot of often unfair criticsm. But most of all I'm pleased Valle's improvement promises closer, more competitive racing ;-)

Rossi was struggling for grip and there you go: They analysed the data and tested the options. That's a world-championship team at work!! Diamonds and Aces together making it work. Beautiful!

He is 0.4 s from Stoner and Lorenzo is only two bike lengths away from pole. Lorenzo is super consistent and smooth. I guess he may do a "Biaggi-Japan". Dovizioso and de Angelis very strong. Happy that Dani is kinda back too.

The "other" Ducati's are a shame to the grid What is wrong with that bike???

Again, I wonder how the grid would look if the Yamaha's instead would be 7 km/h faster than the Duc. No, I guess I know how it would know.

just look at the top speed even SG who is last has a higher top speed than the rest of the field...so the 0.113 n 0.412 that CS is ahead of Lorenzo and Rossi is only because of the superior power of the duke...forget about all the comments that he is the only one able to get the best out of the duke...it is a double edged sword...the duke only works under him and he only works when he is on the duke...put him on any other bike and we all know the results..credit to Lorenzo he is @ 10kmph slower than CS but only 0.113 sec behind him....looks like the yam is the most rider friendly bike on the grid...JT should be able to do much better once he gets the new engine...constructors title=yam !!

Shame Dani s hand is giving him trouble ... a 5 way fight CS, Jorge, JT, 46 and Dani would be a kickass first course ..

Where are the Rossi haters now. Valentino Rossi has always been sandbagging, thus Rossi always comes back to form in qualifying and especially the race. GOOOOO ROSSSIIII !!!!!!!!

i think that perhaps when it comes to poles stoner may get the edge this season but rossi will get the most wins i couldnt help noticing that stoners bike seems a lot more twitchy and a little less balanced than last seasons that will make for some interesting riding come race day when the packs more closer to you ;)
