Looks like the Bridgestone qualifering tyres are a bit behind, the race will tell the story. Having said that it's going to be a great race and an even better season.
Go Casey..

Lorenzo is the number one Yamaha rider.Totally humiliating his teammate and showing the world how good the Yamaha really is.

That Yamahas are definitely slower than the Ducatis.... oh wait. Its a front row lock out and no Rossi to be seen...
Very impressive performance by Lorenzo and pretty stunning by Toseland on a satellite bike!!
I won't be watching the front row when this race starts, I'll be watching the front column, JL CS & VR. Hope we don't have a first corner crash like the previous years.

Wow a Yamaha 1,2&3 qualifying when was the last time that happened!!!! I know Qatar is a strange race what with it being at night and tyre temps being a bit funny but I could not be happier. If James and Colin had the same engine as Jorge, they could have qualified faster, roll on tomorrow. I know the Bridgestones will go better on race day, but if I was Casey I would be worried about this sworm of Yamahas around me.
Pretty sure that Hopkins fan is a closet Casey fan and he meant the Rossi excuses....lol

Probably Casey opted to do his qualifying run early because of the dropping temperature and his (bad) experience with Q tires. The disadvantage between VR and CS is similar on both tires i guess. It seemed as Vale was trying to find something to improve race pace until the last moment and almost ignored qualifying.

No surprised with an all Mich front row. They have the Q tyre art all sown up.
De Puniet right behind Toseland, how many riders would feel comfortable with that?
Will the the fuel consumption of the 2007 Yamaha engine play a part in JT and CE's race performance?
Will Stoner be able to get to the front quick enough to then be able to control the race pace?

the race will run in the high 1.55 low 1.56 if you check the time sheet not the qualifying times you can see who will be at front... the only Ryder's to do persistent 1.55's are Lorenzo, Stoner & Rossi. i hope inexperienced Lorenzo will be good in the race. hope we will have good "mixing" knee to knee racing.

Come on JT and CE show them the way, satelite team and underpowered engine and still wasted them all, Just goes to show who the best riders are!!!!!
Could it be Henry?? the mild manered janitor?? I liked it better when the race was at 1.00ish waiting to 8.00pm is gonna be a pain..

Looking at the race tyre pace it comes down to Stoner and Lorenzo, they're pretty close. While JT isn't as quick on race rubber anybody who had the joy of being in Brands last August can tell you...if he gets away with the front runners he'll fight ya for every inch of track, just ask Haga! ;)

Coming back down to earth, both Casey and Vale will be up there when the lights go out and their Bridgestones warm up. Fuel consumption will be a problem for the valve spring Tech 3 bikes so I hope that they can remain up at the sharp end. As most of the Hondas are using the 2007 engines they will be in a similar position, how this race pans out will be interesting.
My Pics for tomorrows race Stoner, Lorenzo, Rossi. Mark my words.

RR75..Due to the track probably being close to dew point there will probably be only one corner line. Get off that line and riders could risk ending up off the track due to sudden loss of grip.
