HRC's factory racers were each handed a 2007 spec RCV each - in addition to the '07 engine/'08 chassis hybrid they had been expecting to race - to try and cure the grip problems experienced during last week's Losail test session.
WOW, no one cares about Repsol? I'm sure Danny wants to blame Nicky somehow. The little whiner that he is. Lorenzo is Spains Real #1

Nicky get your bags packed boy, you are definately on your way out at the end of this season if not earlier, and deservidly so. 5 years, 3 wins, 1 dubious championship and a total lack of ability to develop a bike, HRC are gonna pull the rug from under your feet

not blaming anyone but honda, they seem to have lost there way. they have not a machine in any form, 2 wheeled or 4 that can battle for a championship. the blade rode by jt last year had nothing to do with the mighty HRC. dear mr mrs miss- dont blame the kentucky kid, can danni not develop the bike, after all he was the 1 honda pinned there hopes on. they designed the bike to suit his needs.

You are about as clueless as they come... The best development rider in the world could not make that Honda a race winning bike. When its already been built and designed a rider can only do so much.
Like a lot of people round here, i felt a little bit of bitterness towards hayden after he won that dubious championship without actually winning that many races and duels, and that annoying michelin ad didn't help much either but since then he looks to me like one of the most modest, down-to-earth, hard-working guys on the grid, and has had a pretty solid showing throughout the winter, so i'd hate to see him get sacked, and i don't think he'd deserve it either...

ZEDMAN is right Honda seems to have lost their way with two and four wheel premier motorsport.
Nothing to do with Hayden maybe closer to Honda direction, structure and how they go about their racing.
I suspect they are also asking themselves why?

Sure Hayden's 2006 win was partly being the right guy in the right place and mostly not all that exciting. But that doesn't detract from what he did or the genuine skill he used to do it.
Last year he had one of the hardest tasks in the paddock His style was not compatible with the smaller, precise 'don't back it in' 800s. His team focussed on Danni to Nicky's cost & he stayed professional and did a workmanlike job.
+He's one of the few riders folk in the pitlane reckon isn't 75%+ up his own ****.
Honda will bin him if they need a scapegoat but he won't deserve it
Why hasn't Honda given Hayden the new chassis as well????
From what he says (during the bit when he 'thanks' HRC) it sounds like he was never even offered it as he only mentions them building a new chassis for Dani's bike...
Why would Hayden get a new chassis? all that time to test/develop when Dani was out,and where has it got them? Dani was faster on the new 08 bike then comes back from injury and is instantly faster than Hayden on the 07 and 07/08 bike. Unfortunately Hayden would struggle to develop a cold, let alone a gp bike. He had the full backing from HRC in 06, and did nothing but bemoan the fact! asking for a customer spec bike like Danis blah blah, same deal now, he has his 07 bike back while Dani takes the 08 forward because Hayden hasn't a clue. The only chance Honda have is to put all the effort behind Dani, makes you wonder where they would be at now if Dani had not been sidelined for so long.

HRC, its no wonder your motogp project is in such trouble if that's your version of events!! ;)
dani reminds me of max3, brilliant on 250, but on the big boys toys he just cant cut it, then he puts the blame on any one else around him

Team Green, not my version at all, just stating facts that are in black and white. Here are a few more. 06 Danis rookie year on a customer spec RCV, he finished 37 points behind Hayden in the c/ship with Hayden on the ONLY full 06 Honda on the grid. 07 Dani finished 115 points infront of Hayden as well as giving Honda both of their 2 race wins. Hayden stated in an article on this very site that his 07 engine was more powerfull and faster than Danis, that pretty much sais it all, Hayden chases Bhp and can do nothing with it, no doubt in my mind that Pedrosa will own Hayden in 08 too.

But HRC your whole argument is based around the assumption that Honda are giving Hayden eveything that he is asking for to make the bike better - but that isn't the case. Hayden said he asked for the 07 bike long ago, but only when Dani wanted it did it arrive.
And who do you think has been giving Honda the info to make the new 08 chassis that Dani now says is better on the front end??? Sure as hell wasn't "I'm sitting at home all winter" Pedrosa.
Yes, Hayden had a more punchy engine spec for his RCV last year - because that what he wanted - and Pedrosa wanted the smoother one. Your point is? And HRC then 'made' Hayden use Dani's spec when the penumatic one was canned.
When Nicky developed the bike in 2006 they won the championship, now with the crasher have more input developing the bike since then, look where they are. When they finally listened to Hayden last year he put together a nice string of good runs. What HRC needs to do he drop Pedrosa. ;)

You want to know why I root for Hayden, and not torpedo? It's easy. It's not because he's American (But that helps, in my book), nor because he's already got a championship under his belt (what does Torpedrosa have? nothing.) But because he doesn't badmouth his team mate, or other riders.
Too bad the runt (Pedrosa) can't say the same thing. Hayden's professionalism is to be commended, and if Honda drops him after the season, then I say it's about time for Hayden to get on a bike and team that's worth a half a damn. HRC lost the plot when they let Rossi slip away, and haven't regained it since.
From my memory HRC concentrated on Rossi when Hayden started, listened to nobody when Max was there, gave Hayden a hybrid testbike with a bad clutch for 2006, a Dani-special-minibike for 2007 and now an old bike for 2008.... All the time using him as a testmonkey without speaking the same language.
Meanwhile the midget moans, crashes and looses champhionships, wins only when he can exploit his weight advantage to the max, is horribly on the brakes, torpedos his teammate in the second to last race, badmouths everyone, threatens to leave Honda but stays because no other team wants him...... Dani is an extremely egoistic bad sportsman. I feel nothing but hate for the little punk.
Hayden spanked again, by the very bike Hayden developed pre-season then turned down on race day Wake up and smell the coffee, Hayden is just keeping the seat warm for Dovi, he's had his chances, time to make way for a rider that shows some promise.

Dovi will take Haydens place next season, Hayden has most of the off season to find a which model bike/chassis/motor to use this year, poor Dani has been injuried most of the off season, gets on an untested bike with a badly injuried hand and shows Hayden what he has been trying to tell him about the bike,Dani was talking fact when injuried not rubbishing Hayden. Next season it will be Dovi and Dani Honda show

Dani did a great job. I've never cast doubt on his ability, or got involved in juvenile who is better slagging matches, my compliant is that Hayden hasn't/doesn't get the support he deserves from Honda. Toby Moody said on eurosport that the #2 runs the Repsol team and calls all the shots.
Hayden does need to leave Honda - and go to Ducati alongside Stoner, where the harsh power of the Ducati will suit him and he'll have a team-mate he can work with. He'll also help Ducati sales in its biggets market.
Pedrosa needs a one man team.... just like he had in 250. He and Puig do not mix well with others and - a bit like Alonso in F1 - don't like two equal riders.
TG, u'r talking rubbish, Hayden had the very best of HRC attentions in 06, he was #1 within the team and he won the tiltle on the only 06 spec bike on the grid, regardless of all his whinging about not having a customer spec bike.
It's a myth that his bike was a hybrid/test mule in 06, the 07 800 was/is a totally different bike in every respect, with very little being carried over from the 990.
Hayden and Pedrosa were both free to develop the 800 in 07 to their liking, hence Haydens engine spec, now look at the results for 07, no surprise Hayden has lost his #1 status within the team. points = prizes simple.
