Lorenzo, Pedrosa rivalry starts to simmer.

Lorenzo, Pedrosa rivalry heats up...

Although Pedrosa and Lorenzo raced each other for two seasons in 125GP - during 2002 and 2003 - they were rarely in direct conflict, and it was only when Lorenzo fought reigning 250cc champion Pedrosa head-on during the 2005 quarter-litre season that the fireworks between them - and their respective team managers - really began to ignite.

I'm quickly becoming a fan of Jorge. I hope teamwork is emphasized within Fiat Yamaha, regardless of the garage partition. They could work together to beat any rider, unless they qualify poorly or get bad starts.

In Holland we have an old saying: If two dogs fight for a bone, the third (Casey) walks with it to his home...(ofcourse roughly translated) but you get the picture.. ;)

I hope that they keep their rivalry on track, I had enough of this stuff with Rossi and Biaggi.

Pedrosa and Lorenzo are sure to clash sooner or later... they are 2 such different characters, but both highly talented and totally single minded.

I remember watching them in 250 and got to admit it made the racing much more interesting, knowing just how badly they wanted to beat each other (and how badly Amatriain wanted to beat Puig and vice versa).

As long as nothing dangerous happens on track, I think it can only be good for the sport - just as the rossi v biaggi conflicts help build the profile of both riders and the sport in general.

This is also a three-way rivalry, got to add Stoner's interview in Visordown rearding Lorenzo.

yes...Pedrosa is such a nice, polite boy while Lorenzo is bad boy so it's better to be bad boy, it keeps you out of agression. laid back so...and have a payed off...

Lorenzo is such a baby!! he is making all this trouble because he wants so bad to be on the headlines. i really like the fact that Dani Pedrosa is not a hipocrit, i think he would a hipocrit to go and congratulate Lorenzo after all the things Lorenzo has said about him at the spanish press at every ocasion. Lorenzo slags off Pedrosa at every interview in spanish media. Lorenzo' s father has even said that he is told to do so by his manager so that he can be talked about!

so the fact that Dani is not getting himself in Lorenzo' s "game" by simply ignoring him, drives Lorenzo craaaaaaaaaaazyyy!!!! He was saying the same things about dani not congratulating him in the 250cc champion too....what a loser!!!!!!!!!!! I WOULDN' T CONGRATULATE HIM EITHER IF I WAS DANI CAUSE IT WOULD BE FAKE, DANI IS JUST AVOIDING TROUBLE BY NOT TALKING TO HIM

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO DA***********

Stoner says that Rossi doesn' t speak to him either....

Pedrosa vs. Lorenzo = Biaggi vs. Rossi?

Biaggi has way more personality than Pedrosa ever will. Plus he won more championships. ;)

Because Dani Pedrosa has less personality than a Three Toed Sloth, he will be the villain unless Lorenzo does something inexcuseable. Both highly talented, but there are plenty of GP fans who get much of their enjoyment from how riders react to different situations helmet off. Lorenzo will outclass Pedrosa every time in this situation.

Dani ignoring Lorenzo is fine if he wants to be seen as unsporting. It's his choice to act like a child. I prefer it that way, it makes disliking Dani Pedrosa soooo much more fun. He could be a man about it and say, "nice race" or even, "nice race, you ***" but chose to look the other way. It's what we've come to expect thus far.

It's OK if this rivalry stimulates them both...as long as it gives us close battles on track! But Lorenzo and Pedrosa don't have the charisma and image of Vale and Max because...they simply don't have any charisma !Not all the racers are true entertainers.Pedrobot behaves like a shy and introvert dwarf and Lorenzo 's always overacting after a race.(Although his lollypop 's simply ridiculous...Who the hell would like a strawberry candy after a race long effort and a champagne splash?)

Those lads are made to ride bikes.Nothing else.No PR.

Bit by bit there is a decline in the media interest in Rossi. MotoGP now has new heros and villans and if Jorge continues to deliver on track we could have a new MotoGP superstar.
