Lorenzo leads for Spain, Stoner falls.

Lorenzo leads for Spain, Stoner falls.

Lorenzo backed up his brilliant Qatar debut, where he netted pole position and second in the race, by edging out none other than Fiat Yamaha team-mate Valentino Rossi during a closely contested opening day.

YIPPE KA-YAY MF's I am betting on Lorenzo. This man takes no prisoners and he's got a mean streak for Dani Pedrosa. GO Go Go Yamaha!!!!!

I still can't get my head round Stoner not being able to compete at what is recognised as a racers track...
I heard from a reliable source that he fell when he was on qualifiers ;-)

So why would he use up one of his qualifiers?

Looks like the bike to be on is a pneumatic Yam with Michelins - that'll be Lorenzo then! (but Hayden will get pole)

Does anyone know if Rossi and Lorenzo both were on qualifiers?

No they where not on qualifiers...They done the fastest laps on runs of 8 laps Lorenzo and about 5 laps Rossi.....
The track looks very bumpy now especially after all the F1 testing.

The word goes he's to old already and has lost it. He should go to WSBK ;)

(Just a joke, I've got to "enjoy" the moments to fire up the Stoner gang )

Rossi

Hmm,
where's all the Stoner fans now then??

I predict Lorenzo for Pole but Rossi for the Win on Sunday, this is based on the tyres, we can all see clearly that the bike to be on is the Yamaha's, they have turned the bike around this year & Rossi said this afternoon that the 08 yamaha is now competetive.

What I beleive will happen now that Stoner has competition that can actualy race him because their equipment is capable, he is going to be pushing harder & will crash more.

Can't wait for Sunday

Just watched MOTO GP FP2 on Eurosport and Lorenzo was quick all the way through the session. Rossi showed good speed with consistant laps. Also Stoner had a quick front end crash but luckly ok.

I think the race will be a real close battle between Lorenzo, Rossi & Pedrosa.

Go JT!!! Another top 6 will be an excellent result although he is full of man flu according to the boys on Eurosport.

Surprises me that someone would suggest they were running qualifiers on a Friday. Shows zero knowledge of tyre rules and the sport.

I am sure come Sunday the WC will be up there fighting for the win. After all he is the WC and has more than enough talent to over come a few bike issues and race a strong race.

Glad to see the Yamaha is so strong and so perfect. I hope all the groupies will remember Rossi's comments on this later in the season when he starts looking for excuses as to why his **** has been handed tyo him on a plater again.

i'm not sure stoner will win in jerez. BUT whatever he has problem with his bike, he will fight and do his best to win the race, he will push his bike to the limit.

GO STONER!!!

i remember what stoner's say : "people say u can't do this, u can't do that, but if you keep fight u can have it"

GO STONER!!!

Are Pratt good to see you are still here. Just wanted to confirm that yes this is the worst bunch of motogp wannabe fans on the internet. So refreshing to see that it is so easy for you to continue to be the ignorant ****** that you are.

It is amazing when you go to any other forum to find it has a higher majority of semi knowledge people discussing motogp, riders and races with humour, thoughtfullness and considered opinion. Then you come back here and find that it hasn't changed and that people like you are still trying hard to be, well, just like you have always been.

The above was actually posted by me - Parker. Sorry about the mistake in posting Pratt's name. Was unintentional.
