Last October's exciting triumph over Dani Pedrosa and Casey Stoner marked the end of an era, being the Italian's last with Michelin tyres fitted to his Fiat Yamaha.
We want to see the Old Valentino Rossi back in action and to win the Championship one more time.I believe once Rossi finds confidence in the bridgestones he will be in the competition for the Championship and all us MotoGp fans will enjoy the racing at every circuit. GOOOOOOOO Rossi

agree with all 3 of you above i will love to see rossi win it 1 more time maybe more . i dont expect him to win this weekend because its one of bridgestones weaker tracks and the yamaha is not fully working with the bs yet. but when they get it together it will be a very strong package.

Without Rossi, MotoGP will be boring so to see him as motivated is good news for all of us!...
He loses or he wins whatever he has a result I respect him so much unless he rides unmotivated? Like in Qatar to see him overtaken by the rookies hurt me so much!!! Rossi is a driver to teach the Kids (rookies) how to ride?

Sorry, without Rossi, MotoGP will still go on. Just look at the new talent, how can you call that boring? I would argue that with Rossi, MotoGP is boring, especially when he's on a good bike.
Here comes the Rossi fanboy backlash.

i agree with you guys that Rossi is a very important part of MotoGP. he is definitely one of the best riders on the track, he is definitely the most "polished" rider but... with the new era of 800cc, bikes loaded with electronics every race is anybodies(Stoner,Danni,Rossi,Lorenzo) race. the rider that finds the best setup will probably win. you won't see what use to happen two three years ago, where riders have bad pace in practice and then blitz in the race. riding in MotoGP became so "mathematical" that I THINK made it less interesting then before. i really hope (the races) will prove me wrong but based on what we did see so far i don't think so. GO Edwards & Capirossi -->

Calvin,
Of course every race series will go on. But Rossi is like a mirror of MotoGP for several years. If MotoGP is well known and watched by millions, most of the reasons belong to Rossi.
New faces until being a new Rossi will not add more meaning to MotoGP?
It' s easy way to see Rossi off but the reality is still on track!!!

well when rossi goes i will follow lorenzo, rossi is on a good bike this season but last years effort was not so good, this year they made huge improvement's, in engine performance also reliability, also the electronics and aerodynamics and that makes HUGE difference because we all know how much tiny changes can make in motogp. rossi is gonna be here for 3 or 4 more years and i believe he has the talent to scoop another 2 WC'S.
rossi took yamaha to the top they started gettin lazy but after the embaresment last season yamaha have pulled there finger out and delivered a real good pakage for this season.

Vale has to win at circuits were handling and skill count more than ultimate horsepower. Jerez was such a circuit and he did not win. Estoril is similar and he must win. Last year he won at these types of circuits Jerez, Mugello, Estoril but it still wasn't good enough to lift the championship. If he does not win this weekend the title is lost. The Hondas and the Ducatis will charge into the distance at the power circuits leaving Rossi with an impossible point's deficit.

I' m surprised to see Rossi' s name off here? How quickly history is forgotten?
It is natural he can' t keep his performance until his retirement but that doesn' t mean we should forget him and see off from the competition!...
Rossi is the man to watch still and amazing with his moves and still ambitious as shown in Spain!!!

No one is seeing Rossi off. Any rider who still warrants a full works ride deserves to be taken seriously, as well as some satellite riders.
I, personally, would like to see several riders duking it out rather than one Rossi disapperaing off into the distance. That's what I watch MotoGP for.

Calvin how often did Rossi disappear of into the distance when he regularly won? Even if he could, he usually didn't as he'd follow the leader until the last couple of laps to make a thrilling finish. He's a total showman as well as a superb rider.

Calvin,
The main question is here;
Rossi wins because of his talent not by any chance (generally) or any reason mostly such as engine power, perfect setup. Shortly not because of his bike instead of magic skills? He is a good rider and he is capable anytime to make an incredible move? He is not straight as most of the others!
Of course I agree with you. Show is show with its participants so his rivals quality are important but for me I can' t accept him overtaken by the rookies although I believe the fair competition but that' s my weakness to Rossi and why I like him as a rider and don' t tolerate so much?...

I can't forget Andrea Dovizioso crying after Qatar, not because he came in 4th in his first race, but because he beat Rossi. Valentino was, is and will be until he retires the racing legend to beat for anyone who rides in MotoGP.

Calvin, When you refer to Rossi and say 'He is not straight as most of the others!' I think you are very perceptive and probably you say what many may fear to say!

Calvin: How can one rider...ANY one rider make the whole sport boring? IF Rossi is fading then the young guns will have no problem beating him and fighting amongst themselves and that will be good. If he still has the fight left in him then it should be exciting to see the others fighting with him and that will be good. I think the reason MotoGP is becoming boring has more to do with the bikes than the riders.

like i said JJ the sport is becoming to "mathematical". like the 800cc took the soul out from MotoGP. i watched the Superbikes and i really enjoyed the races did you see Checa riding without T.C the second part of the race and finish on the podium... do you think it can happen in MotoGP???? no ****** in chance... the bikes are 50% controlled by electronics. like Colin Edwards said after Shumi's test: if you switch the T.C full on and ride like crazy you will be 6-8 sec's of the pace... sad!!!
