Lorenzo injured in huge morning highside.

Sort Comments:

Lorenzo injured in huge highside.

The MotoGP rookie, who has a sensational record of three pole positions and three podiums from his first three races - including a debut win last time out in Estoril - sustained damage to both ankles after being flung high in the air from his Fiat Yamaha as he switched direction from right to left.

Hope he's back for the race but I got a feeling that Rossi is going to Crush this race.

Does Yamaha has a stand in in the event that he can't race?

Now we find out what JL is made of. If he can still ride a monster bike carrying injury. more difficult in motogp than in smaller class i would imagine.

"Now we find out what JL is made of. If he can still ride a monster bike carrying injury."

surely that depends more on the severity on the injury that what the rider is "made of". for example no rider is going to riding the bike with two broken ankles.

Bummer. With the Ducati back in the equation, it's really shaping up as a cracker season and this is just what we don't need. Hope he's able to get back on for the race, but I doubt he'll be competitive given his slow early practice times, lack of practice to sort that out, AND injury.

Hmmm... quite a lot of comment around suggesting that part of the edge the young Rookies are bringing to the table was a more committed reliance on the electronic traction packages.

The downside of this is of course that when the electronics get it wrong/fail
the hideside you collect is in all likelihood going to be a monster.

The guys a bit of an Erk but I wouldn't wish a highside like that one anyone....
