Got up early to find it's raining.Let the Stoner files scream it's not the electronics, the Duk makes a mockery of the sport in the wet. Turns Stoner into another Ant West. I find it dissapointing that the other manufacturers haven't figured it out. Casey was nothing sparkling in the wet until he got on the playstation 27. Ok if your a Stoner fan. But for the sport very disappointing....
Bet he can't believe his luck

Hmm Dani doing better than I would have thought in the wet. Look like it's gonna be p*****g down. I guess that should favour the Bridgestones.

There were 7 other guys in front of anthony west just how does it make an all australian podium. Is anthony west riding a Helicopter or do you wanna give some wet wheather lessons to Rossi. Be more realistic will you

...hmmmm..just look at those 125s. track not as wet - in fact drying up. rain dance must be better performed...to achieve better results...sky clearing up as well...maybe hire some helicopters to push the clouds a bit?

Dream on.. CS Won in the wet in China on a 250 but you probably forgot that. I guess that was all electronics!!

Bike and tyres are important in the wet but rider input is paramount however on a drying track picking the winner could be a lottery.

Again does anyone know if a slick from a team's tyre allocation can be grooved as an intermediate and still be counted as one tyre under the tyre quota?

As someone else said, Stoner has always been awesome in the wet. He was awesome in the wet long before he got on the Ducati.

Melandri is another great wet weather rider: have you forgotten is fantastic wet-weather powerslide during his win at Phillip Island in 2006? If the Ducati rides itself in the wet, why is Marco only in 10th?

"Dream on",

Doubt you are right about the wet weather performances, he raced in G Brittan comming 2nd in camp.
Came 3rd in 2005 250cc in wet

But I'm sure there are more specific examples. Riders do have a career before MotoGP.

Just cause you say it doesn't make it true.

Does the fact that everyone will have just thrown on their wet tyres
and guessed a set-up even mean anything!
These times are hardly a true reflection of most of the riders potential
on a wet Shanghai circuit.

CA...... Cut slicks are counted in their tyre allocation,
but full wets are not. (80/20% land/sea ratio)

Looks like the track is drying,
any bodies race in those type of conditons.

well, the track does seem to have a rather large dry line...but still, donnington was like this last season and the ducati dealt with that rather easily...

its a real shame the weather isnt the same as it was for qualifying...as much as the stoner fans may have not wanted that, it would have made for a more exciting race..

and australia podium huh? someone's had their drink spiked me thinks!

crazy!
