Rossi: Exactly how I wanted.

Rossi: Exactly how I wanted.

In the previous three rounds, Rossi has been forced to ride conservatively to protect his tyres in the closing stages of each race, but the ever-improving Bridgestone-Yamaha partnership showed no signs of weakness in China - forcing Rossi's only challenger, Dani Pedrosa, to finally wave the white flag with three laps to go.

Who's turn is it next? Can Rossi dominate from now on with a bike/tyre combo which is now a proven race winning combo? Hopefully we will get to see some close 4 way battles with the top guys from now on!

Excellent race from Valentino, who I believe is still riding on tyres that are made for Casey. Same tyres, 16 seconds of a difference Would have liked to see more battle at the front, but the battle for 4th-9th was great. Nice of him to mention Jorge too!

More of the same please

Classic Rossi... just when you thought Dani had in reserve Rossi just completely checked out on Dani... Rossi used to do that from second place but I am so happy to see he did it from the lead... Absolute classic! Well done... Good to see Marco doing good too... was gettign worried about him.

Your little lamb was outfoxed this time.
He's still in the lead though, this time on his own.

Dani rode super morgue, so did rossi.

The Yamaha is the best machine out their guys, rossi fans need to admit their bike is as amazing as their rider.

like the ducati was last year.

Rossi's bike was 11 Km/h slower than the Ducati.
Both Ducati's beat: Edwards (Yamaha), Toseland (Yamaha).

If you look at the speed trap times, the M1 was only nearly as fast as Casey/Marco when using a slip stream.

Ducati still has the advantage in both top speed and acceleration, don't forget how well Stoner qualified.

I predict that the Edwards/Toseland honeymoon over Ducati with Tech-3 - is over within 1 more race.

to grumpy_doctor,
top speed don't mean **** when the bike does not corner well, the only advantage the ducs have is at tracks with long straights such as shanghai.

Yamaha are kings of moto gp too.

if that speed is the case grumpy doc with rossi bike, what about the honda, that is not only slower, but clearly not as good round bends as the yam

plus the ducati doesnt have better accelaration than the yamaha, today showed that many times. top speed yes, corning not a chance, ride ablity nope, accelarating nope.

grumpy doc, u clearly love your guy, fair play to that but be honest that the bike is tops, 4 poles out of 4 show that. if that was the michelins then a honda would of got at least one so far.

The duke is more powerful throughout the range, it does accelerate faster that is easy to see from standing starts and very slow corners. However, this is disguised during the race by the fact the yamaha is a superior handling bike with more talent on board! Having the power the duke has is only good if you can use it, which currently they cant use effectively, so despite the duke having superior acceleration the yams can get on the power sooner with more ability in the chassis to get that power to the road. Dani does very well to get the best out of his honda by forcing the bike upright, probably the clearest example of riders doing this.

just an observation
VR got where he is now,5 times wc, by telling michelin what sort of tyre he wanted, remember the sunday am tyres? and by telling his crew chief what he wanted with bike set up.
CS gets told what to do????????????
todays result proved that
soon as CS realises that the better he will be
maybe MM also?

Stoner needs to force Ducati to make their bike rideable if they want to hang on to their crown. If they don't, Stoner will not make it. Either Rossi, Dani or Lorenzo will be World Champion.

I don't think that Stoner, with no significant top speed advantage, will cut it for the crown. He is loosing to many times too much.
Dani can only win in the dry and by riding alone in front like a rabbit .
Lorenzo is a sure champion like Rossi is when he came on the grid the first time. He is on the same bike, but with different tyres. That will probably be a major dicisive factor. Hope Jorge will get better soon to see some good fights. Surely Stoner will be back, but 2007 he was "lucky"

Of course the Yam is the best bike out there, as the Duc was last year. Who developed the Yam - Rossi / Burgess. Who developed the Duc - Capi / Gibernau. Ducati really miss Capi for developing!!
