Pole sitter Colin Edwards held his hands up and confessed that a braking error cost him dearly during Sunday's Chinese Grand Prix, although he and Tech 3 team manager Herve Poncharal had differing opinions on what may have been possible without it.
Colin, please stay on at Yamaha as a test rider in 2009.

LOL. I was yelling in disgust when Edwards when he went wide: "Oh no, you moron! Wy do you do that! You could've held third!" Knowing Edwards hardly does any overtaking during races I knew he woulnd'nt be back up there.
But, as a fan, I'm still rooting for his first win.

Colin will not win a race this year. He didn't manage a win in 2006 when it was a bit easier. Now in 2008? When Casey, Rossi, Dani en JL riding for the wins, the only chance he have is if somebody take them all down..... Well, who knows maybe Edwards will ignite at Indianapolis or Laguna, but then I think Hayden is even more likely to win this 2 races!

Okay, now Pedrosa's tailwind story carries some weight, if a second rider (or more) has something to say about it. I'm gutted for CE, as I watched the race (via eurosport/bittorrents) and his start was fantastic. Running wide was the only mistake I saw him make, and with riders of motogp calibre, overtaking is tough.
Colin, ya done good to bring it in. If you're having fun again, stick with Yamaha.
Funny how a person called "blah-blah" in the "Melandri delighted" topic..said how ALL riders are arrogant and they never blame themselves for losing.. wonder than what did Edwards just do here then? ... in fact - SOME riders are mostly arrogant and SOME are not...
had it happened to Stoner - "The tires were off, my brakes were faulty, someone in the crowd moved!!!"

The current holder of that crown finished a lonely race 15 seconds behind Rossi. Casey Stoner's 3rd place marked an important upturn after the past two difficult races at Jerez and Estoril, and kept him in contention for the championship. But the Australian's difficulties are starting to take their toll: in Parc Ferme, Stoner was seething, and when interviewed, Stoner immediately complained about his tire, and that he'd been advised to take a different one to the tire he'd used during practice, and that it hadn't worked out. Stoner is known as a frank speaker, but this was a barely concealed public retribution to his team. Contd...

Even getting on the box couldn't console the Australian: "A podium this far off is just about not worth it," Stoner told the BBC. Casey Stoner needs to start fighting for a win again, for his own peace of mind, if not for his title defense.

well.. for Stoner - it may be all about the title ( and No.1 on plate )...
Lol well done Steve G but he stops short of the usual which is quite refreshing compared to todays youngsters.

Colin is a smashing fella and probably a top bloke to have a few beers with. I'm sure he always puts in 100% effort (now here's the BUT) but - the problem he has is that IMHO there are a minimum 6 other rider who are clearly better racers and maybe another 6 who are arguably better. Maybe it would be better for Colin if he went back to WSBK as I'm sure he would be fighting for wins and championships again, something that won't happen in motogp. But he has the likeability factor and he adds some colour to motogp so I would be pleased if he stayed too. I really hope he bags a win before he goes though
