Lorenzo: Like a victory.

Lorenzo: Like a victory.

The Fiat Yamaha rider, winner at Estoril, underwent surgery on his right arm less than a fortnight ago, then suffered a huge accident during Friday practice at Shanghai - fracturing his left ankle and badly bruising parts of his right leg - leaving him to contest Sunday's race with only one limb in full working order.

Unreal... Way to go
Absolutely amazing comeback after that highside

The future of MotoGP is assured.

Never really liked this guy, way too arrogant in my book, but this weekend I have developed a new respect for him that i never thought would be possible. A brilliant ride considering his condition, and how frustrating for the following riders knowng this. Hats off to him this weekend.

I echo your comments too Mr Sole - I'm starting to warm to Lorenzo more and more. I would prefer to see this guy win rather than Pedrosa any day of the week

I read on motogp dot com that Lorenzo is much more hurt then thaught... He has both his ancles broken (or some bones in it) He is sitting in a wheel chair for his revalidation. At the end of the article can be read that 'the nature of his injuries mean that participation in Le Mans could be in doubt'

Not that good news for the guy!

4th Place - like a victory?
hehe...some riders appreciate points more than some that think they're not important yet..

Only one ankle is chipped and there is a bit of a difference to a "break". A chip is a bit like a crack in the bone that was followed by a knocked out unsignificant sized piece of bone tissue. other ankle is not like that - but seems to be the source of more severe pain which comes from other important structures of this important joint.
In around 12 days for Le Mans - he'll be almost 100% - sorry to disappoint you Tom.

I agree with you Mr. Sole, I don't really care much for arrogant people, but then, unless Jorge proves to be an utter and complete "****&" I can over look it as I don't see racing as a personality contest. On that note, all the talk about Dani's lack of personality...I know if you shoved a microphone in front of me with all the whole world watching I'd behave in much the same way. Dani's there to do a job and he's pretty darned good at it!

Lorenzo is full of confidence, although this can be confused with arrogance it is what makes him the super star he will become with luck, his ride to 4th place after a terifying crash like his was incredible, I like Rossi but I have nothing and admiration for all riders but Jorge will be a future champion, along with Pedrosa he has what it takes!

I think Lorenzo has been very arrogant last year in the 250's..and when he came to motoGP he calmed down in that field of his character - coz he is not in a position to be arrogant. There was one 800cc Lorenzoland flag and that was decent if you ask me - coz he was happy and not looking down to other riders..
..being aware of own capabilities and then taking all the "suffering of the pain sometimes " as he said - from his injury and riding so well to get 4th and be grateful - by saying its like a victory - doesnt look arrogant at all... we will see if he is truly arrogant if he behaves like he did in the 250's - if by any chance he becomes a champ..dont think this year but the years to come

Why did you disappoint me Gina? There is nothing disappointing here I read it on MotoGP.com yesturday. My English in terms of bones and breaking bones isn't that well...So maybe I understood wrong but I hope for him he will be fit for France!
And sure hope Rossi beats him
