Preview – French Grand Prix.

Any of the big four - Dani Pedrosa, Jorge Lorenzo, Valentino Rossi and Casey Stoner - could secure their second win of the season at the French Grand Prix, but the 2.597 mile circuit and its uncertain weather can provide surprises.

Looking at the weather forecast, it could be a repeat win for Vermuelen. Either way, let's hope for a close race. Bring it on !

I'm sure Rossi and company will out class Vermulen even if it rains unless they have another bike switch fiasco.

Picking a real battle between Rossi and Pedrosa. Maybe Lorenzo is still not fit enough after such a big crash, but who knows, I didn't think he could get 4th in China in his condition either. But thats the great thing about this years championship, it's so close anyone could win..

Here is something scary for the Ducati and Honda folks. Autosport reported this, "Valentino Rossi looks set to have to wait until after the Spanish Grand Prix next month to get his hands on major upgrades to his Yamaha bike. The Japanese manufacturer team had originally planned to introduce some engine improvements around the time of this weekend's French Grand Prix, but Rossi's victory in China appears to have convinced Yamaha to continue with their current specification for now". There is more but you all get the gist. The last thing Stoner wants to hear is the Yamaha M1 shod Bridgestone is set to get engine improvements.Must be wondering how will he compete against ROSSI now that its even.

It's gonna be a wet race for sure.So forget about the spanish duo, we won't see them.
Time for Dovi and JT perhaps? As far as the wet Michies match the Bridgestones.

By the way is Spies a good wet weather rider?

If it is wet, Stoner will win the race from Rossi IMO.

I think Stoner will win it if its wet, i think Rossi will be close on pace but maybe use his head a bit and collect the 20 points as the current state that stoner is in he is not as much threat as dani and lorenzo so taking points off them when possible is more important than trying to scrape a couple more points off of stoner and throwing it into the scenery. I think this championship is going to be really close so they will be thinking of just collecting points this early in the season. Nicky Hayden won his championship by just collecting points consistantly and not doing anything silly.

But i hope its dry and we will see Rossi shine!

I just hope it is either dry or wet but not both.

If it does rain Stoner/Rossi battle for the lead,
if its dry (but cold) I hope it will be CS but I think
really Lorenzo will be on pole.

If its "WET" on Sunday I would not be surprised to see the Aussies likely dominate as usual.... that being said, we are yet to see how Horhay and Dovi will go in the wet on the 800's and they might surprise! Marco and Loris would are by far the best of the euro's in the wet on 800's.... Jim also should in theory do pretty well being a pom and used to wet track racing, it would not surprise me to see him on the podium either!!!

Love the rain, it sorts out the men from the clowns

You clearly have no idea what you're talking about. But what's new?
