Stoner lost out during a tense three-way battle for pole with Honda star Pedrosa and Tech 3 Yamaha's Colin Edwards, all three dipping under the 1min 33secs mark and being separated by just 0.347secs by the end of the qualifying hour.
LOL @ Stoner. As a world champion, he always let me down on several things. this is just plain stupid again. but if lorenzo.. and if edwards.. if if if.

congratulating another rider, how is that moaning?
He felt he should of got pole, but made a mistake. which he admitted to.
what is he to do, sit in silence in the press confrence? you people constantly knocking one of dani, casey and vale are ruining the sport, you make us all look like children.
some of us just want a clean fun race!

Credit to Casey for congratulating Pedrosa. If Stoner really thought he threw away pole because of a mistake, I don't see why he shouldn't say so?
perhaps that want to live 1500's where no one is allowed an opinion lol

I'm the first to have a go at Stoner but I don't see how this qualifies as moaning. He made a mistake, didn't blame anyone but himself so fair call. Give the boy a break. What amazes me is how nobody else can make the thing go round corners. Stoner 3rd, Melandri 17th. Says it all really. Best thing is they are all about equal on race tyres so should be another great race, weather allowing..

I swear, some folks around here only read the (often misleading) headline and not the article.
He's saying that he should have got pole, but didn't because he made a mistake.
Contrast this to last race's article about Colin Edwards titled "It was my fault" whereby he admitted it was his fault for running wide *in one corner*, but went on to blame his bike and the weather for his poor result. Yet he is praised on the forum for being honourable.
Sure he said " he has to be responsible for his mistake " but ppl make mistakes and it is fairly stupid to say it should've been me. anybody can say that ( wonder what was he thinking as well that he didnt say: It's not fair!!! LOL )...then saying that "you have to expect Valentino to join in.." join in where?? sure - into the group in the first row..this guy gives himself a LOT of importance and for not so big a reason he thinks... A legend about to break Nieto's and Agostini's record will join the great group that includes Stoner the Flukey from the first row that made a mistake otherwise would've been on pole!! very important to note _ I made a mistake!! otherwise it wouldve been ME, ME !
hey - but who cares? Lets enjoy another battle of some masters out there - Valentino and Pedrosa, hopefully Lorenzo too plus some other great riders :-)
it just goes to say no matter what stoner says good or bad he will be attacked for it. if rossi said the same words you lot would say see this is how a champion should speak not like a moaner. granted some dont like him but it would be easier and wiser to say nothing. there is a difference between an opinon or just being nasty he praised dani for a great lap and admitted he made a mistake. i am not a big fan of dani but this year my respect for him has gone up 10 fold this should be a good race and i hope stoner wins a real close exiting race.

Gina... As always it seems you are the true moaner....why not just be happy with the fact you are a Rossi fan and try and stop slagging riders who are out there beating him or trying to......Remember when Rossi went to BS he asked for exactly the same tyres as CS and then they set the bike up the same as the Ducati......Now he is winning.....start giving some riders credit for a change
It's interesting the story about CS 100th comming up which listed some of his incredible achievements to date was largely left alone by the Stoner haters, it was as if by ignoring it they could continue the myth that he's a moaning no talent crasher the same way they can ignore the fact that he is 1.5 secs faster than the next best Ducati and 2 secs faster than his team mate, the same people that trash CS talk up JL and DP but there's only ever one Ducati up the top of the grid and plenty of Hondas and Yams

good to see the same people from last year still bitching and crying. Every week, the same comments: casey this, casey that. Its the bike, no wait the tyres, no wait the weather.
Some of you guys but up some good comments and then you have ****s. If its rains Casey, chris and val if its a dry race, pet casey or val and i hope colin can put in a great race.

@Duke@ee. When Rossi went to BS I don't think so he asked for Stoners Tyres. I am thinking he just asked for BS tyres. Ducati didnt give Rossi the tyre Dat on a silver platter either. I am sure Rossi would have used previous data and slapped on BS tyres and found his own data. You think this is tour de france. Rossi is not a new boy. 7 times world champion. He knows what to look for in new tyres. And you say now he is winning because the bike is set up like the ducati. start giving some rider(Rossi) credit for a change .
@ Greg. If you think Stoners 100th is incredible, Rossi is about to make his 200th. Where were your praises for Rossi when he made 100th Podium. When do you think your Boy will see that 100th podium in motogp. Maybe in your state races . he probably stood on the podium a few times the same day, Rossi is 5 times Motogp Champion. your boy is still 4 away to match Rossi. Rossi was also a runner up in 2006, and a 2nd runner up in 2007. I don't feel Flukey's achievement were incredible and it was left alone . The ducati's have a team order. How do you think that a rider goes off into the gravel trap twice and still be able to catch up with the other ducati's and overtake them. Its call"Slow dow
