I'm glad to hear a comment from Ant West about the problems he's having, as he's getting a very bad rap on here. I believe he has the ability to run a great deal higher than he has been. I've seen this guy race with a 14kph top end deficit and still gain positions lap after lap. He also surprised everyone (who cared to take any notice) with his 3 rides in WSS last year before getting a chance in MotoGP and managed to gain a decent hall of points over the remainder of the season. But I doubt anyone will take notice 'cause so many people on hear are one-eyed and because he's finished at the back all this season he doesn't cut it? Go figure.
Oh Hopper bet you wish you had stayed put at Suzuki, great thing hindsight , heres hoping things turn round for you soon, a talent like yours should not go to waste.
Motogp, WSB, BSB where are the Kawasaki's??? shocking all round

I doubt if Kawasaki will have a queue up of riders next year to ride their suicide bike, it is 100% dog,, wont go, won't stop, won't handle, I bet riders can't sleep the night before because it's a nightmare, wouldn't be surprised to see Hopper spit the dummy as it's his life thats being risked week after week with the same result, better if Kawasaki pulled out until its sorted if thats possible as the way its performing can't be helping road bike sales. The bikes making the riders look stupid

I don't understand how the TC couldn't at least help to sort the spinning problem with West. I guess it isn't as simple as that.
West might be on a monster of a bike but he still consistantly finishes well behind both of his team mates (2007 and '08). He sure can ride a WSS bike but without knocking him too much I think Motogp is a bit beyond him.
JH:Traction control would be the reason for the chain breakage with Hoppers bike, power on,power, off power on, chain slack, chain tight ect each time the wheel loses traction the chain would take hiding, with power off the bike is going no where hence Wests problem, the bike is a DOG, traction control don't make a bike go faster.

I have driven a BMW car (not mine) with traction control I found that when the wheels just started to spin the engine lost power, is the traction control the same on these bikes if so it would very frustrating for the rider if the wheel tries to spin and the engine lost power, do the bikes have degrees that can be altered during a race or turn off all to-gether, then if I suppose the wheel just spins, would it be a bad design of the bike as both riders seem to be having troubles or is the motor just too powerful, would Rossi, Stoner or Pedrosa be able to control this bike or is it just too bad for any rider????

TC's can be trimmed very precisely to intervene exactly when the rider wants. The Ducati 1098R (the 1200cc version) has a traction control with 9 settings (if I remember well) the first cuts power with the slightest provocation, the last is there only as a very last resort against the worst highsiding.
Last year Randy D P achieved 6 top sixes and 2 or 3 8ths on the Kwack. I really thought that Hopper could improve on that this year and I believe that he did too. Something sure has gone wrong.
