great race by rossi and casey
but who we kidding, rossi was supposed to win...haha

Dani killed em..boring maybe...but what else is a rider supposed to do?
wait for the others to catch up and dance?

interesting note though...the top six riders are the same from the
last race..
with 4 to 6 in the same order

Unbelievable pace from Pedrosa. A very good race from him (again) and the Rossi/Stoner battle was fantastic entertainment. Very suprising to see the Yam pass the Duke down the straight when it didn't seem to be able to keep pace in the slipstream.

Awesome display from Pedro, didn't put a wheel out of
line and just went for it from the off...very much deserved!

As for Rossi, Well..what can you say, 9th to 2nd aint too bad!
i did think at one point stoner had the better of him, it looked
like the yam was struggling to hook up half way through the race.

But he pulled it together, and was all over stoner towards the end
and them last two laps from rossi were very, very special!

Stoner must be wondering what he has to do to get a win again, he
made a couple of mistakes today and just doesnt look as comfortable
as he did last season, i suppose without the gap he had last season
on everyone else, it must be getting to him...

All in all a good weekend for the championship, unless
your stoner or lorenzo, it seems it could go to a 2 man
hunt for the championship, but with someone like stoner
or lorenzo messing it up for rossi or pedro.

Rossi looked like he really enjoyed the racer and im glad he
did, he complemented pedro and stoner and really enjoyed the
battle coming through the field...a true racer!

Also, yes being a rossi fan, it was brilliant to see rossi and
stoner go head to head on the same tyre's and to see
rossi come out on top was very satisfying..

Well done to everyone else who finished, JT done very
well again, hope he goes well at donny!

P.s...did anyone else notice melandri's start!!!

Good ride by Pedrosa! But yet again he could ride away, again no fight for his win. But it was a deserved win for him!

As for Rossi, very good ride too, from 9th to 2nd isn't bad at all! Good fight with Stoner too. Good race by him.
And let's not forget Dovi! 4th again not bad to fininsh in front of a factory Honda!

Yes, he had 8th position from 16th! If Rossi could start like that, he would have had the hole shot

Great start by Melandri, just sad he couldn't hold on though.

What a show from Rossi and Stoner, Caseys head must be in bits now I wonder what was this weeks problem with his bike?

The yam didnt pass the duke cos of speed tho did it

Rossi sat behind him, pulled out and beat him on the brakes
it was an incredible battle..

Rossi was just brilliant on the brakes today, his pass on
dovi and then to take stoner at the next corner was great
to watch...wish it was like that every weekend!

Stoner had a little moan about the bike again, i wonder
what his team think when they hear his comments..tbh
i don't like it when he complains, even tho he's sat with
rossi for most of the race...until rossi blitzed him in
the last 2 laps...it just seems like the bike is never
working at 100% for him...even melandri doesn't complain
that much, lol

Well done again to Pedro..big respet!

@ Adam Jaison :-

You're right. Unfortunately DP and CS battle was too short lived to allow Rossi to catch up.
Also Rossi made his trade mark poor start to keep things difficult, just the way he likes it! (not..)

Good job by JT beating 2006 champ and Chris Vermolen to the finish line too

Great race by Dani, I have to congratuled him with this amazing performance, also well done Rossi and Stoner, finaly a begin of a battle between them, unfortunate for Stoner that he had grip problems...Looking forward to see them fight again in the UK..

If we are going to be fair, Jimmy (which is unusual around this place), it did look very much like the Ducati was doing its best to throw Casey off. The way Stoner has to ride the damn thing (and the positions of the other Ducati riders) is a bit of an sad indictment on its handling.

Congratulation, Dani Pedrosa!!
and Nicky Hayden.. what're you doing back there??? again, you made me disappointed..

but, great fighting, Valentino Rossi, to start from 9 and beat the brat.

Bridgestone vs Michelin : 4 - 3

(Internal Bridgestone) Valentino Rossi vs Casey Stoner : 6 - 1

I think that would be more than 15 - 3, maybe even 17 - 1 at the end of the season.
ROFL

If were going to be fair also...the ducati has
never really looked like comfortable ride...

it's just something at every race with him and
im not bashing him, but it's getting a little
boring to hear now...

I wonder if rossi's bike felt great, cos it certainly
didn't look it half way through the race...without the
fact he had to come through from 9th to get near stoner
and then still have the capacity to beat him fair n square

Fair enough, no one likes losing, but stoner never seems
to want to blame himself for it, yet when he takes a win
he certainly likes getting all the credit..

I liked his reaction in mugello, apart from complaining
he seemed happy to be there, back to norm this time

@rob46- agreed mate. and ur first post was hilarious

honestly i cant imagine why everyone did not expect this from rossi
the guy has done it before...!!
2 or 3 years back he fell of the bike...with a freakin huge gap he came back to take a podium or maybe he won it?cant remember folks, maybe the MotoGp gurus here can chime in on this fact

what the hell is nicky doing wrong anyway? it sucks for a world champ to be a number2 rider(even tho they wont admit it)!

Jim to absolutely fair, the question Stoner was asked "What problems were you having with the bike?"
because it was obvious (To most people) that the Ducati looked like a real pig early on in the race. Having said that...
Dani's pace at the start was incredible, and the Rossi/Stoner battle fantastic.
Congratulations to all 3 of them, As Casey said (at the end of the interview) you've got to be happy if you have made it to the podium!

JT rode well and might be a chance at the next round in England.
