Donington Park: Warm-up times.

Reigning double AMA Superbike champion Ben Spies is making his MotoGP debut this weekend, in place of the injured Loris Capirossi, while Nicky Hayden is riding with Honda's pneumatic-valve engine for the first time at a grand prix...

As much as I would like JT to do good here, I do not think anyone will be able to keep up with Stoner today

He is seriously quick.

I missed it. Was Stoner consistently lapping quicker than the rest or was it a one off lap?

This is the closest Rossi has been to him all weekend in the dry..

maybe he's found something, we'll see but it does leave time left
before the race..to think about it, lol..

stoner deserves to win, he's nailed it all weekend so far, i just
want to see a good race really...after spain, it'd be nice to see
a battle for the win and not 2nd place..

It looks like the CS Ducati is again competitive. I wonder what the fix was because the problem has all but cost him the 2008 WC?

CA..you can't really say that with 11 races to go can ya..

there's still a chance if he gets back to his 2007 ways, that he'll
win the title..

but atleast this year, its closer and more of a challange, which makes it
much more interesting..

anything can happen in this sport, 2006 is the perfect example of that..

lets just enjoy it and hope that guy we support wins it!

How must Marco be feeling? Ben Spies has come in for a 1 off ride and placed higher in all sessions. Doesn't matter if its a different bike, Spies is brand spankin new and Marco has been doing this for some time now. I quite like Marco as well.

CA the change Ducati did with the bike was in the traction control. Stoner himself declared that the "bucking and weaving" wasn't due to a bad chassis but rather to a not perfect response from the TC. It's somewhere around here in crash.net I think

Jack..Fast in the first race, then nowhere in the next two races with three offs in one meeting in the same place before TC would come into effect. With all the data available it is hard to imagine that all of a sudden Ducati made a mistake with their TC program/s that took five odd races to fix!! They are back on track now but it looks like it could have cost CS the 2008 WC. If there are some sudden departures in the Ducati electronics area yes this may be the reason for Ducati's 2008 problems. In the mean time good job CS.
