Eurosport loses MotoGP.

Dorna Sports has announced that the 2008 MotoGP World Championship will be the last to be broadcast by Eurosport.

Just no. Totally Gutted.

Eurosports commentating team is one of the best on TV, and their full days coverage of all three races, and some, destroys what the BBC do.

******* Dorna. MotoGP is slowly but surely going the way of F1. There must an equivalent of Bernie Ecclestone in there somewhere... I give it 5 - 7 years maximum before it been totally ruined by the money hungry people in charge.

What the F**k..... Eurosport covers more than the BBC will ever get near to doing, say goodbye to all the practice and qually sessions, no more 125 and 250 coverage...

Owww...

I used to always watch the Eurosport coverage of the 125s and 250s whilst watching the Moto GP later on during the week because I used to enjoy getting different views from the different commentators.

So does this mean these guys will replace the WSBK commentators?

An absolute disaster.

All we'll get from the BBC is the big race and then only if it doesn't clash with some idiot ball game. The BBc know absolutely FA about motorcycle sport and care even less.

Oh yeah and have a look on Autosport about Capirossi injuring his hand again, letting Spies ride again!

Arse! I've been watching GP's on Eurosport for nearly 20 years and there's no way we're
going to get as good coverage on the BBC next year as they will have F1 to broadcast
and the bikes will always come off worst in that one. No more Julian Ryder? PAH!

Bad news indeed!

Aw no.....

This is utter crap. Absolutely gutted....dunno what to say. Best commentators by miles and they give it to the Beeb.

There goes my Virgin Media subscription I suppose.

A real shame. I've been enjoying Toby, Julian and Randy's commentary and coverage formany years, it's a joy to listen to hnd has had me in stiches of laughter as much as it's had me on the edge of my seat.
I am also concerned that tyhe BBC isn't bothered about 125cc and 250cc formulas. If we lose the coverage fo the support classes I'll be absolutely fuming, it's often the best racing on any given weekend and I love watching exciting and talented young riders come up through the ranks.
Gutted, that's the only word for it :(

Twice before the race the BBC chumps referred to MotoGP as Superbikes that's how important it is to them...

Gutted. So now MotoGP has to share schedule time with Songs of Praise and the cast of Eastenders, making it highly unlikely they're going to televise the FPs, Qualifying and the 125 and 250 races. And they want the F1 next year too, no? They'd better take on the current commentator team…

Basically, I really couldn't give a turd if it's free-to-air! (Or am I missing something?)

Wow, even deeper into the deep end this time. I'll need to see if he got the second practice in. At least he knows the bike a little now, but totally new circuit to him and misses some much needed practice sesions.

Anyway, I fail to see what is so wrong with Steve Parish and Charlie Cox, I found those guys to be really great.

Oh and no Suzi Perry. :(

What a disaster for all motorbike fans. The extensive coverage given by Eurosport will never be replicated on the Brainless Broadcasting Calamity!(BBC) Given the choice i always choose Eurosport, as there is so much depth and knowledge.
Have you got the red button facility? Your going to need it!

Yikes. Sorry to disagree with most of you, but I don't care that much, really.

BBC coverage is good. I like the commentary (but that is a personal preference) and they always show the MotoGP race live. Always. I've never missed one.

They do show the 125, 250s, and qualifying - on BBCi. Not ideal, not as good as Eurosport, but I can live with it.

I'm sure F1 *will* be held in higher importance (it will get more viewers, after all), but I *bet* they won't ever not show a MotoGP race. F1 will be on BBC1, MotoGP on BBC2, so even if they clash we'll still see the races.

What a crying shame. BBC's commentary is lightweight, superficial and trivial. They should get rid of Parrish and Cox and replace them as soon as possible with Julian, Toby and Randy.
Does anyone actually like the BBC's work? At all?

I know Keiran Bradley was quoting you

I don't mind Parish, but I don't think much of Cox as a commentator. What bothers me most is the second rate treatment MotoGP gets on BBC especially the 125 and 250 coverage.
