Hopkins out of Assen - and beyond?

Hopkins out of Assen - and beyond?

John Hopkins will miss Saturday's Dutch TT at Assen due to lower leg injuries sustained in a huge Friday qualifying fall.

It is a pity that Hopkins did't stay with Susuki. He wasn't doing great riding Susuki but at least he stayed healthy. I think the green-machine company had better go back to the drawing board. They (Kawi)isn"t ready for the big time, they should stick with building street bikes for beginners.Hope to see Hopkins at Laguna...maybe he can rent a Vespa?

Kawasaki need to find some decent teams to partner with, or take everything in-house & start poaching key people. After last years results, making some major changes & hiring Hopkins I thought theyre were on the right track ... but seems not.
Contract Kenny Roberts, he's available & gets sh1t done!

Even their WSBK / WSS efforts are dismal, yet in production spec both the new ZX10 & ZX6 are damn good bikes. Laconi /Tamada / Walker / Fujiwara are all good riders, but theyre are not getting the bike to deliver the results.
Until they find a "Ten Kate" or a "Alstare" type team though, they're just wasting time.

what the eff do bartholemy's leadership skills or the team's partners have to do with hopper's injury???
for christ's sake, hopper crashed - how does that define leadership skills?

i only hope he recovers soon and @ zac: you're just a ****head. only a moron wishes anybody an injury, especially a serious one like that. get over yourself.

(also @pam: what does dani pedrosa have to do with zac being an ****? i seriously don't understand you people...)

zac

Don't normally join this kind of mud-slinging, but feel compelled to respond to the trash you posted on this topic.

Hopper is a fine and deicated racer, pehaps made the wrong move into the Kwacker paddock this season - but is still one of the best riders in the world!!!!

Why don't you just wish him a speedy recovery, and be glad that there are troopers like him to make the sport we all love something special.

GET WELL SOON HOPPER - / god knows Big K need some help - if they won't throw budget at their current ( and past, I know.I know ) inadaquecies then IMHO they have a good man in you !!

Mr. Zac:

Even my son Dani is sad for Hopi's fall and injury.

Are you a Kawasaki mechanic? based on the performance of his bikes, that is the only person I can think of that would hate him so much.

Shameful you are.

- Mrs. P.

Hope Hopi (spelt like Dani :blush hops back up in time for Laguna Seca in the States.... otherwise would we see mulitple Haydens race?

hey Zac how come you HATE Hopkins? Have you ever met him?
I COULD form an opinion on you even though I have not met you and then go on to say I hope YOU crash and end up in in a wheelchair. Now that would be a STUPID and SPITEFUL thing to say though so I wont.

Sod the banter about where Hopper should be - it's crap that a track can have a incident where a rider can make contact with a wall!!! I thought all GP tracks were now supposed to have run off so this couldn't happen? Shame on you A-Ring!

I said this before on another thread, John is a very talented rider and has ridden through so many malfunctions and mishaps in his career. His decision to go to Kawasaki wasn't the wisest as he built the Suzuki to where it's at now, BUT money talks and that's what he did, he went where the money was good. He hasn't had the best guidance in making decisions throughout his career. It's a shame because he is a determined rider, but he needs to stop focusing on the lifestyle of the rich and famous and more on his career. He doesn't lack ability, he just lacks guidance. This should be a lesson learned in his career, hopefully it will and he will bounce back. Focus is key, not fame.

All the best.
