Valentino Rossi fell on the first lap and rejoined in last. Nicky Hayden ran out of fuel on the exit of the final turn, handing third to Colin Edwards.
Rossi was only 46 second behind Casey when he remounted after his fall he was 40 second behind without the fall he might have got second thats some going with no gear lever.

Dominant performance from Stoner and now we've got a Championship fight.
Hats off to Rossi for not giving up. A lesson there for young Casey.
Switched over to the tennis and in all honesty I hate tennis, more than I hate golf, darts and bog snorkling.

yes, cemkaan, Stoner is a very good rider, that is the story, and as for moaning, you're over achieving by comparison.

Steve - just when did Stoner 'give up?' I ask by way of information, as I don't remember him 'giving up', presumably you can elucidate?

Great Ride by Casey! Way to go son!! Just to good the rest of the pack its as simple as that.
Poor Marco, he really needs to change team/bike asap and go ride for either Yamaha or Honda if he wants to save his Motogp career, as they are obviously much easier and userfriendly bikes to ride then the Ducati which requires serious balls.
What a race for the Championship

I won't be needing Iplayer this week, jesus the competiton is so poor that without Rossi the result was known by corner 2 (about 8seconds in)..hardly worth waiting to see if someone runs out of poetrol on the last turn.............
The Japs need to get their act together quick or the sport will be f-u-c-k-e-d that was just like watching an F1 race and the funny thing is the only over take of any import(For the podium) was down to an engineering issue.... Big up for Parrish for trying to make it sound interesting, Charlie you've got a terrible sense of humour... ..
Oh big up to Casey well done...the new Mansell...

steve: do you really believe that Rossi ran 27 laps without changing gears .. your no gear lever comment shows your level of inability to see reason. That he was able to run laps consistently in the 1:27's showa that his bike was scratched, but not broken. It also shows that Vale has cracked .. again.. under pressure. He really musn't like Randy though .. that is the second or third time he has crashed trying to go underneath him in th elast two seasons

Oscar, it's a good lesson for young riders regardless. But the incident I'm referring to was earlier this season (Le Mans, I think) where Casey returned to the pits and had to be convinced by his team that he should get on the spare bike and get out there.
Yes!!! great Race Casey you showed them... Just tooo godamn goooooooooooooooood!
Pound for pound the best rider, it was just too easy... Where are the other three ducs??exactly that bike is crap and he's head and shoulders above the rest. Reckon he lost on purpose in the first few races to make it look interesting.
Championship is in the bag!!!!! You fine Casey You Fine!!!!

Have to agree with Flabber. Great ride by Casey but soooooo boring. I know his job is to win etc etc, but what can the powers that be do to make the racing more intersting. 800's are obviously not the way. 2 seasons of fairly mediocre races so far. As for the 125 5 lap dash. AWESOME. I have only just recovered.

Surely his head nad shoulders should have brought those crap bikes forward as well?

Belly Perhaps you didnt watch the post race footage cos you were clearly too busy thinking of something stupid to say. Rossi's gearlever had all but snapped but for a tiny stub from the main arm, as had his clutch lever and no handlebar balance. I think you will find that is what Steve meant.

For all the people who said this was a boring race: blame Rossi, don't blame Stoner.

Your right Oscar he still had the gear change but there wasn't much left of it(seen on BBC) and at that level I don't care what anybody says it makes things more difficult yet second fastest on race tyres consistently...pretty good.
The only real error I've seen was Yamaha thinking they were in the ducati ball park. Far as I'm concern no expert but watched for many years that duc is back as far infront as last year.. MM can't get round corners but even with the slower exit speed was gapping rossi on the straights, it's a goddamn marvel of modern engineering..well done Ducati and Marelli and of course casey for holding on...

Thats right Nigel Mansell (he was a great competitor AND a World Champion too)
