MotoGP world champion Casey Stoner heads to this weekend's German Grand Prix on the back of two crushing victories, but looking to banish memories of an unfortunate race last season.
Not so sure Kees .......... not unless he's pulling race length practices. But, then again, I suppose that's how he will use FP1. So, could be - at least in the sense if he's OK then he'll probably be OK later. But if he's not OK then but the tyres are close to OK then there's still a slim chance they can improve set up later.
If he does win at Sachsenring too 'though he has to be at least join favourite for the championship.
I'm sure Casey will be more competitive here than he was last year, but my money is gonna go on little Dani. Oh......and wasn't casey racing 125's in 2003?

My precious time has been disturbed. Thank you.
This race is a key one for me. If Stoner clears off again, which I'm predicting, then Rossi and Pedrosa have a serious problem.

I hope this is the turning point for Marco, He is one my favourite riders!,... His performance so far this year does not reflect his amazing talent!!

Also I hope Marco doesn't move teams!! He is struggling with the Ducati, & his confidence, but Kawasaki??.. Nobody can ride it!! It's a confidence killer!!!
I was @ Philip Isl. '06, Marco beat Chris V. in the rain, a great race!! Check out Marco & his onehanded powerslide coming out of the last turn to take victory youtube.com/watch?v=45R9AB_3N5E
Jonny H: I agree with you that Melandri should not go to Kawasaki I would go as far as to say I hope no one goes to Kawasaki, not only its a confidence killer,it has attempted to murder Hopkins on four occasions, West is frightened of it and I thought nothing could frighten West, it never spits it's riders the same way twice, of course Dorna doesn't care it wants them in the field, if these bikes get in the middle of a field it could be a disaster, they are dangerous enough when they are alone on the track

I thought I was the only one that thought the bike was the problem. Around these parts too many are too fast to blame the rider (West). I feel really bad for Westy cus he's a better rider, I just hope he ends up on a satalite Honda, Cus he will shine.
Simoncelli on a Kawasaki, now that would be something to avoid mid pack

It'll take a damn big pay check or a very succcessful test ride to get Simoncelli or anyone else more than half-way competent to sign that contract Rock.
Ace, As much as I'm patriotic I think Westie is finished. He was a long shot brought in from 600's where he raced with road tyres on vastly underpowered bikes compared to this format. Whilst the Kawasaki is not the package to have this year he hasn't done enough to take him to another team and Kawasaki are going to need a sacrificial lamb. That said the Ducati (with the exception of Casey) looks about as cursed as the Kawasaki so they might find it hard to get a rider and that could bring Westie in for the make or break ride. I would still look for the soon to be deposed Nicki Hayden first. As for Casey - He looks fast, tidy and focused at the moment: VR fans are a little panicky...
