Capirossi set for Sachsenring return.

Loris Capirossi will make his second comeback from injury at this weekend's German Grand Prix - an event he finished second at one year ago.

A waste of a motogp ride as Capirex is now just riding around to collect his pay cheque. I would have preferred to see Spies taking the ride or even Malandri or anyone wo is serious about winning the race and not just collecting the money. Us Suzuki fans deserve better.

vermulen- 57 pts
capirosi 51 pts with 2 races less.
Yeah, he's done real bad. Not to mention he's new to the team...

Why has Capirex got more points than Vermin with 2 races less? CV has had a couple of mechanicals aswell. Loris was signed to develope the bike for Spies next year while he totters around america racing his team mate. I know CV has won a race but he has not shown consistancy. Spies and Bautista for me next year.

CV has got two major problems. First, he cannot go fast on qualifiers, which makes him end up at the back of the grid. Second, he is a terrible starter, by which he loses yet some more places into the first corner. Then, at last, his racing weekend begins. In the race he can put the hammer down, lapping pretty fast consistantly, gaining places. But by then, the front pack is WAY out of reach.

So for me, CV hasn't got what it takes in MotoGP. Back to WSBK and get that world title mate.

I can't believe anyone thinks that either chris V. or capirex don't cut it in motoGP. That suzuki fades like a bad shirt in EVERY race I have seen this year. Both of them are awesome racers and are definitely capable of winning, if only their tyres/bike combo were able to keep up the grip for a whole race. BTW didn't Vermeulen qualify 3rd at donington? I know was in the wet but still, to say he can't qualify is silly!

Rumour has it, the team didn't want him to run at Assen! That was before picking up the latest injury, and he's still up for Germany!. One tough little ****** Capirex.

Hope Capirossi does well this race. Like to see him and Vermulen back next season. I think for the bike they've been given they've both have improved and Capirossi for the first season on the bike he's been impressive given the bike he's riding.

Pushing limits, you obviously have some sort of gift, how did you know I am an absolute *****.lol. ZX9R steve's job is actually technical consultant to Ducati's meatball supplier in the hospitality tent, he has a spaghetti diploma too. Grow up mate and read the comments. Why should we think these riders are owed a living when there are young chaps more deserving to be given a chance. People like you would have Hopper stay in moto gp after 6 years. He won formula extreme or something, what the ****s that.

Suzuki is bigger challenge than Ducati GP7 for Capirossi. With the second machine he finally could reach the podium but with GSV-R it's very very complicated.
"A waste of a motogp ride as Capirex..." - "Hang the DJ" of this words, Morrisey would say that too...
Capirossi has more balls & charisma than half of riders novadays.

Have to agree with Billy... Lorenzo has shown himself to be a tough little fooker this year, but Capirosi is a pure pitbull and a total hard case (as is Baylis in WSB)... Watch him in an interview. He's a very likeable guy (surely EVERYONE loves Loris?) but underneath it all, you can still see he has that taste, that desire to win. To me the guy is a total "racer" and always will be...

Paul27 ... Owed a living ??? Are you kidding ? Damn right they should be owed a living ! Those boys are risking everything everytime they put there leg over the machine when football players get paid d the salarys they get for risking nothing ... Come on now !!! If your a fan of the sport then respect it and its racers ! They don't make enough ! And like him or not hopper is hard as nails in my books ! Did you even see his assen crash ? Dorna have completely taken it off of the moto gp website because of the wall being unprotected ! Not to mention hitting it at 150 mph feet first !!! That alone deserves respect !!! As far as you saying he shouldn't be there well that is just silly !!! Watch a season review of.07 and look at his results top 5 almost every race ... 4th in the championship and finished well ahead of the other yanks ! Tough year this year but will turn around for him as it will capirossi and vermeulen ! No 250 or superbike rider could beat those three right now anyways so yes they all are owed a living !

erm except for Dovi,Lorenzo and Toseland ha ha
Ok people.I have a few questions and I would also like to hear peoples thoughts too.The development riders at the moment for the factory bikes, are they any good??Do you really think that they could cut it in MotoGP,should the situation arise?I knew that a good development rider is worth his weight in gold,or so they would have us believe, but do you think that Loris would be a better prospect than some of those guys??Do you think that Canepa should get the nod in front of sete,if that is the case??

The reason for the above post was the first outing of the pneumatic Honda with Tady on board. He brought the bike home and no doubt put some valuable miles on it as well, but Nicky then jumped on it a few weeks later and was in the top 5 if memory serves me right(could be lower).I remember reading what Doohan had said about the Japanese development riders for Honda, they only ever told them what they wanted to hear,i.e.that the bike was great, even when it was a piece of sh1t.So with this in mind, what are the Kwak and Suz development guys doing??Are they just riding around,to quote somebody else on here, collecting a pay cheque??Thoughts please...........

Capirossi is one of my favorite riders hands down, I love watching the guy race and win. The moment Ducati axed him I said it was a dumb move for them, he made that bike what it was.

CV has done nothing but impress me too. Suzuki as a bike is very weak this year, only the Kwaks seem worse off but there's no way Suzuki can compete with yamaha or honda or stoner+ducati.
