Gibernau to Marlboro, then Alice?

Speculation and rumours from the MotoGP paddock at the German Grand Prix...

2 people agree.  1 people disagree.

What happens if Sete does a reasonable job on the Ducati - why pack him off to a underperfoming satellite Ducati team for 2009 and bring in another Honda rider ie Haydon who might like Melandri struggle on the Ducati ?

Because Rossi got to pay more taxes now than he usually does...

I have serious doubts about what can a dirt tracker like hayden offer on a tc-driven Ducati... but then again Casey was a dirt tracker as well, wasn't he? Pattern emerging?

Also, Sete looked to me a spent force even in his last year with honda, could he regain his composure? I'm not so sure, but bigger surprises had happened.

All this speculation about Rossi and Ducati... Rossi will NEVER go to Ducati, EVER!!! Why? Read his autobiography...

indeed, ducati is too stubbern to realise its the rider that is making the diffence at first, then the bike. rossi doesnt like this honda-alike mentality so case closed

No need to get excited(as the great Jimi Hendrix once said), r46 thinks he cottoned onto the perfect answer to the Stoner/Rossi performance discussion, and has posted the same sh7t about 50 times but as usual without any facts or explaination. I'd liken him to a mosqito that's difficult to swat...

Rossi said AFTER his autobiography that YES he was very interested once they get more competitive and that NO money was not a factor.
Course going there now with Casey World Champion and number 1 he has credibility to loose..so there is the answer.

Marco will not benefit much from riding Kawasaki the bike that could have KOed Hopkins,, he will has something to look forward to next year,,, it's in the upcoming Doohan-Loncin motogp racing team, potential challengers to Ducati.

(pat myself on the back...)

Yes, folks...you heard it from me FIRST (yesterday, i cannot remember which forum/article i posted it on) that Sete would replace Marco for the ramainder of '08 and then end up w/Alice for '09 with Nicky possibly w/Marlboro ...

When it comes to USA Ducati Sales, Nicky Hayden will have a MUCH GREATER IMPACT in America than Casey and Sete combined.....even if Sete shows well for '08 (which I doubt, and I am a Gibbers Fan).

Ok, wjat I would like to understand is why such a great racer like Melandri is failing at Ducati. Melandri is not an idiot. He know this stuff.
